We interrupt our regular market programming for a proud mom moment. ❤️

Many of you have watched Michael grow up alongside Orange Blossom Market Co. Today, he celebrates two incredible milestones:

🎓 Graduating high school ranked #3 in his class
🎂 Turning 18 years old

Moments like these remind me why I took the leap and started my own business.

Not because owning a small business is easier, it isn’t. The responsibility, stress, and long hours are very real. But it’s a different kind of weight. One that allows me to be present for the moments that matter most.

The celebrations. The milestones. The memories.

Building Orange Blossom Market Co. gave me the opportunity to create a life where I didn’t have to choose between work and being there for my family.

Today, I’m incredibly proud of the young man Michael has become and grateful for this community that has supported both of us along the way.

Happy 18th Birthday, Michael. ❤️ The adventure is just beginning.

Thank you to everyone who came out to shop small, support local, and spend the afternoon with us at Celery City Craft.

From unique plants and handmade goods to delicious sips and great company, it was the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon.

We’ll be taking a little summer break, but don’t worry!! We’ll be back in September with more plants, more shopping, and more community.

A Letter to Those Wishing to Join Society,

Four years ago, I approached Lakeside Inn with a rather ambitious notion.

What if supporting small businesses felt less like an errand and more like an occasion?

What if a market became a destination?

What if an afternoon could be spent wandering beautiful grounds, discovering talented artisans, and creating memories to be cherished long after the season had passed?

To my delight, Lakeside Inn welcomed the idea.

And thus, The Modiste Market was born.

Now entering its fourth season, our gathering remains devoted to celebrating remarkable makers, thoughtful craftsmanship, and creating memories worthy of being revisited long after the season has passed.

The Modiste Market has never simply been about shopping.

It is about giving ourselves permission to celebrate the ordinary in an extraordinary way.
