Flowers are literally therapy for my soul. Sharing these cute locally grown Japanese Pansies I picked up from a local grower earlier this spring. The colors, tones, and ruffles are to die for. Thank you Picklinq Collective for connecting me with the best locally grown flowers. ILY 🤍

Lily of the Valley has one of the most iconic bridal looks of all time—simple, timeless, and steeped in tradition.

But I couldn’t help wondering… what happens when you let those delicate little bells step outside the expected?

By removing them from their foliage and weaving them into a bouquet with other blooms, they take on an entirely different personality. Still classic, but a little softer, a little wilder, and full of movement.

I can picture this in the hands of a bride who loves timeless elegance but also wants her bouquet to feel organic and collected, as if it were gathered from the the hillsides of the mountains.

So tell me… are you loyal to the traditional lily of the valley bouquet, or do you love seeing them mixed with other flowers?

Behind every beautiful ballroom is a space full of empty boxes, flower clippings, buckets of water, tools, supplies, and other miscellaneous materials needed to transport, care for, and execute the design.

Every event florist and floral freelancer is familiar with the not so glamorous side of event design. It’s an often messy, sometimes chaotic atmosphere where we design the most beautiful pieces of art ever seen.

I often don’t like to show the true BTS of where our designs are curated but seeing it compiled like this makes me in a way proud. That my team and I can conjure art in the ugliest of spaces.

The difference between beautiful flowers and extraordinary floral design often comes down to timing.

Every variety opens on its own schedule. Some need days of careful conditioning, while others need to be protected from opening too quickly. Behind every lush, abundant arrangement is an experienced designer paying attention to hundreds of tiny details long before guests ever arrive.

It’s one of those quiet luxuries most people never notice, but they absolutely feel it.

That’s the standard every Lilly & Iris design is created to meet.

If I loved flowers I’d make sure to sit closest to the aisle at the wedding ceremony 🤍

Not every bouquet I create is for a real client.

Sometimes I design simply because creativity deserves room to breathe.

This bouquet was made for an imaginary bride—someone who loves texture, movement, and the beauty of understated, natural materials. It’s an exploration of what’s possible when you create without expectations.

Some of my favorite ideas begin this way—just experimenting, refining, and seeing where creativity leads.

One bloom. Endless possibilities.

A peony can be so much more than a bouquet. From sculptural installations to refined centerpieces, there are countless ways to let one of nature’s most beautiful flowers take center stage.

If you love peonies as much as I do, let’s dream something beautiful together.

There are weddings that are beautiful… and then there are weddings that become an experience.

This November celebration at Stein Eriksen Lodge was one of those days. Blue skies over Deer Valley, an incredible team of talented vendors, and a shared vision brought every detail to life. Together, we transformed the space into something that felt both effortless and unforgettable … layering flowers, candlelight, texture, and thoughtful design to create an atmosphere that guests could truly feel.

It’s always an honor to collaborate with creatives who care just as deeply about every detail. This is the kind of magic that happens when artistry and teamwork come together.

The flowers you choose certainly matter—but if you ask me, color and texture are what truly define a season.

The same flower can feel completely different depending on the palette it’s paired with and the textures woven throughout the design. Soft, airy greens and delicate movement evoke spring. Sun-washed tones and organic textures feel like summer. Rich berries, warm neutrals, and layered elements instantly create the feeling of fall.

This is why floral design is about so much more than selecting beautiful blooms. It’s about creating an atmosphere that feels intentional, cohesive, and perfectly in sync with the season your story is unfolding in.

For this wedding at High West Distillery, we embraced the surrounding landscape of grasses, movement, and wild textures, to create designs that felt both refined and untamed. The result was a beautiful balance of bridal elegance and the natural beauty of the mountains.

When florals reflect the setting instead of competing with it, the entire celebration feels more intentional.
