Painting the backdrops for a cow themed birthday party for my sister law🤎🫶🏼

When I started this project, I didn’t know how I wanted to paint the backdrop or how I wanted to make it, but all I knew was that I wanted it to be cow themed 🐄

Her favorite color is yellow, and that’s why originally I wanted to make the backdrop yellow, but I ran out of paint and then I changed my mind and bought a different color.

I ended up getting the same brown that matched the spots I did on the frame backdrop.

My cute little assistant (my son) wanted to help me paint!
So he painted the wavy frame for me and filled in the spots I drew! He did such an amazing job 🥹🙏🏼

It was so hot outside, so the paint was drying quickly, which was a good thing and a bad thing at the same time lol

But it all worked out at the end, the backdrop turned out super cute, and my sister-in-law loved her cow themed birthday party 🫶🏼🤎🐄

What started as a cute project and new backdrop for me turned into a nightmare😅

Painting underneath that scorching sun, was absolutely terrible! 🥵

The paint kept drying up, it was super hot, and everything was turning out, blotchy! And I ran out of paint 😭

After buying the new paint, I realized that the shades were so similar, and not different like I wanted them to be!

Eventually, after being in the storage unit for over 4 hours, the paint started to work and cover up.

I still don’t love the texture of my new backdrop and I don’t love how it looked 😭

There’s still lots of work to do on it, and sanding down to fix it.

The theme for this intimate birthday brunch was so bright and colorful!

I loved the orange centerpieces we used along with the floating candles, they just made this table setup come together!

All the details from this dreamy lemon themed birthday party! “A Drop Older” 🍋💛

A Drop Older 🍋💛

When the weather is acting up, we go with plan b!

What started as a rainy, windy day eventually turned into a sunny, warm day , but by then we had already gone with Plan B and set up the event indoors.
The theme for this birthday party was “A drop older” and it was all about lemons 🍋

Even though the plans changed from setting up an outdoor event to being indoors, everything turned out perfectly for this theme!

Creating an outdoor event for this Sunset Soirée🩷🧡☀️

Every year, I forget how difficult outdoor events can be 🙃Especially during the summer!

The theme for this event just fits so perfectly with doing an outdoor event for it!
And even though the weather was perfect for this event, it did end up getting cold towards the end of the night.
But that’s so understandable with this crazy Utah weather 😅

For this event, the temperature was 74°. We didn’t have any wind, rain, or that scorching sun or heat that we tend to get during the summer events!

But even though the weather was great, doing an outdoor event is 10x harder than doing any indoor event.

The setup, the time, and the effort that go into outdoor events are a lot more.
In general, there’s just a lot more work to do for outdoor events😮‍💨

So next time you see us doing an outdoor event, just know all the effort, time, and love that goes into every single one of the outdoor events we do!

Because we want to make every event perfect!
