Til Money do Us Part I know first hand what it is like to be married to someone who had financial issues. I was wrong. I am not writing from a glass house perfect life.

I thought I had married someone who wanted to achieve having a home, savings, and secure financial future. My first mistake was assuming that my spouse wanted the same thing. I wish I had my book before I first married-- I would've thought "I'm a finance major, I know what to do, I don't need this." But being open minded, I would've been intrigued, and would've learned some things I had no idea ab

out. Having a book like this years ago could've saved me alot of time, money and energy. One day last year, I got the idea to do something I've never done--write about my experience from a personal and professional point of view. I am not a journalist writing about a topic on the everyday basics. I am a regular person who happens to be a CFP® professional who has walked in your shoes and experienced how money differences affect a relationship, and how to solve them. I hope I can help you start off on the right financial foot as a couple. Discover and solve money issues before you marry. Money issues can involve goal setting, debt management, household budget, prioritizing, insurance protection, estate planning, children from other unions, how to share the finances, attitudes, how to prevent paycheck to paycheck living, income taxes, to name a few. My simple to read and easy to follow book offers real life, practical advice before you marry so you know what you are truly getting into. Don't be an ostrich with your head in the sand! The wedding is one day. Managing money and other financial situations will be every day.
