With the kids growing up, I’ve been feeling extra sentimental about the kind of father Troy has been over the years. He’s loved them fiercely, guided them gently, played with them endlessly, listened with his whole heart, and always somehow knows exactly when they need a hug.

Our house is full of “I love yous” on the daily, I’ve always believed you can never have too many. But Troy? He lives the “I love yous” in everything he does. In the countless quiet acts of service, in the way he shows up for our kids, and in how deeply he cares for everyone around him.

Happy Father’s Day to Troy. You are our steady, soft-hearted, superhero of a dad. And to all the incredible fathers out there, today we celebrate you, too!

A scene set by the sea for Judy & Darren’s rehearsal dinner!

A celebration wrapped in sunset tones, sea air, and the warmth of the people they love most.
On the sands outside the iconic Hotel Del, we created and built a full dinner experience with soft toned draping, shell accents, woven textures, and florals in every shade of coastal bloom. Each detail was chosen to honor the joy of the weekend to come. The evening was elegant and sun-soaked in all the right ways.

Safe to say, this one’s giving us all the summer feels!

Rolling hills, coastal drives, and a venue that sparked all kinds of possibilities! 
We had the sweetest time at in Carmel Valley for a FAM trip hosted with so much thought and intention. From a caravan of the cutest cars to long candlelit dinners, every detail invited inspiration. Huge thanks to Erin of for being a true kindred spirit and designing such a thoughtful and beautiful experience. We loved scouting Stonepine for an upcoming wedding, and we’re still buzzing envisioning all the things we could do at this venue!

For Katie and Patrick, we crafted a day that quietly honored a lifetime of memories, family traditions, fishing trips with her father, and the very spot where Patrick proposed.

We let the setting speak, layering in thoughtful textures such as natural wood, soft florals, and golden tones that echoed the warmth of a sunrise. From the ceremony chairs tied with wooden fish to a fishing-inspired es**rt wall where guests cast their lines for their favors, every detail was a gentle nod to love, legacy, and the beauty found in the stillness.

While having a wedding at our home yesterday a small baby bird fell from its nest and landed below. The nest was small and wedged between the eaves of our house, where two other babies sat safely. It was hard to tell if the fledgling was broken or unable to move as it sat frozen in fear with its downy feathers. My mama heart yearned to return the baby back to the nest. Troy grabbed a ladder in hopes to help but quickly realized there was no way for him to do this. Our large hands could not fit between the eaves to the place of refuge so instead we waited & watched as two larger birds flew from roof to roof above looking for him as he chirped and cried out below. I thought of this mama bird and felt her concern as she frantically circled searching above the party & the bustle of the world below that surrounded her baby, unable to reach him and too heavy at this point to lift back to the nest. My heart ached. Would he survive this? Is he strong enough? Do I let him try to do this on his own? I wanted to rescue but all we could do was wait, wait until the quiet came at the end of the night. The people went home to their homes & it began to grow cold and he was alone. My littlest upon discovering him, in tears begged me to do more as his tiny chirps continued as did his sibling birds above. They seemed to miss him too. We created another nest to keep him warm, one that could be temporary for the night & placed him gently in it. He hopped on his tiny legs for the first time and attempted to flap his wings in resistance and then grew still. This morning he is still here. He is making noise & survived the night and will hopefully learn to fly today.
This is being a mother. It is all the love, the worry, the circling, the patience, the longing, and the hopes that come with one baby bird.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mama birds out there and to my very own mama Robin who has shown me what it means to encourage & love beyond the nest. 🪺 So grateful for my four 🦉🦢🪿🐥

The pixie path starts here! We brought Thumbelina to life with a whimsical scavenger hunt where little ones earned their fairy wings through wonder and play.

From nibbling edible butterflies from fairy pockets, hopping like frogs into the ball pond, collecting their very own fairy from the fairy cabinet, finding blades of grass and glitter rocks, and picking bouquets from the pixie path to give away. It melted our hearts to watch some of the children gift their bouquets with kindness to strangers on the street and the joy that brought! Once their treasure hunt was complete they raced up the steps to their well earned wings!

Every detail was a page from a fairytale! Because childhood magic is real, and we design it that way.

Once upon a garden… Charms of Thumbelina filled the air as guests stepped into a hidden hedge garden where nature felt larger than life and magic lingered everywhere. Towering blossoms swayed overhead, while littles lunched at lily pads and fairies, bubbles and butterflies floated by. For Cora’s first birthday, we brought a favorite fairytale to life. Children played inside the soft play wonderland, they hopped into the ball pit “pond”. Cattails whispered through the decor, a sweet nod to Cora’s favorite word, kitty.
Adults sipped on chasing willow cocktails and teeny tiny Palomas mixed with thimbles, just as Thumbelina would! Everywhere they turned, magic unfolded! From fairy houses tucked among petals to overgrown flowering paths and the sweet sounds of folk music and children’s laughter it all felt enchanted.
As the sun began to set on this storybook day, guests left behind wishes for Cora to open as she grows. Each one a whisper of love, wonder, and the promise of more magic to come.
Happy birthday, sweet Cora! Your story is just beginning!
