This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Central Coast Wedding Industry’s Annual Gala: The Rings. It was an event the late (DJ) Bob Stock and I helped launch back in 2019 to celebrate some of the best in our local wedding industry. We took a hiatus during the COVID years, and the Central Coast Wedding Professionals brought it back this year. You could absolutely feel his spirit in the room with us.
It was a beautiful night filled with all the pretty things and all the amazing people who make our industry not only great, but a family. Wedding professionals who’ve been around for 20+ years, to those who are just starting out all came together to celebrate the love we share for each other and what we do week in and week out.
I was honored with the first ever Bob Stock Heart of the Industry Award, celebrating our dear friend, mentor, confidant, and industry cheerleader, which was presented by his beautiful wife Shannon and kids, Logan and Sara.
Bob was one of the first DJs I worked with when I started my business 12 years ago. He took me under his wing, vouched for me and was instrumental in the early success of my business. He introduced me to so many talented and caring people, and showed me the heart of the Central Coast Wedding Industry.
I feel incredibly humbled and grateful. I absolutely love this industry and this family we’ve all created over the years. I promise to be a good steward of this award, in honor of my friend, and continue his legacy. 🤍✨🕊️🥂
