With 13+ years of teaching middle school English, countless workshops, and wellness retreats Michelle is widening her circle and offering workshops at the Ember Collective.

These workshops are structured and organized, with enough flexibility to make your inner child giggle with delight. All writing levels welcome. Michelle especially loves working with beginners. Due to the sensitivity of some of the topics we recommend all participants be 13+.

Michelle blends somatic techniques with best teaching practices to help make everyone feel comfortable. The first workshop is free! After that, there is a sliding scale to promote equity. Michelle has countless trainings in inclusion, anti bias, and decolonized coaching. She embeds multicultural literature and culture into every workshop. This is not your typical writing experience. Be prepared to be nurtured mind, body, and spirit.

Michelle also offers 1:1 creative mentoring where she utilizes IFS techniques to help you understand and release any blocks preventing you from reaching your creative goals.

This retired firehouse once served our community through the brave firefighters who answered its calls. Today, it continues to serve the community in a different way.

✨ Community. Conversation. Connection. ✨

This morning, The Ember Collective had the pleasure of hosting our first San Leandro Chamber of Commerce First Friday.

As business owners, we spend so much time focused on our own work that it’s easy to forget how powerful it is to gather together. Over coffee, donuts, and conversation, local business leaders explored our spaces, shared ideas, and strengthened connections within our community.

One of the things we love most about The Ember Collective is seeing people come together—whether it’s for a meeting, workshop, celebration, networking event, or simply a meaningful conversation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning and to the San Leandro Chamber for creating opportunities that help local businesses grow and thrive.

And yes… the donuts were a hit. 🍩
