🌹 This is one of those details most guests never notice.

The garden arbor was between bloom cycles, with one side full of climbing roses and the other almost bare. I wanted it to look balanced, so we built a custom floral installation using roses, delphinium, larkspur, and lush greenery to blend seamlessly with what was already there.

Three hours in the summer heat… but seeing the finished result made it all worth it.

About a month before Marilyn’s wedding, she asked me something I hadn’t expected. Could I design a few arrangements for an intimate ceremony — just her and her now-husband, in a church, a week before the big celebration everyone else would see?

It was small. A handful of guests. No grand reception, no abundance of flowers filling a room. Just the two of them, exchanging vows quietly before the larger day arrived.

She asked for one thing in particular — her bridal bouquet, in white, designed to match exactly what she’d carry the following week. So when you look back at the photos from both days, there’s no telling which one came first. Same flowers, same hands, same love — just two different rooms, a week apart.
Some couples want one big day. Marilyn wanted two meaningful ones. I loved being trusted with both.
