But it’s not enough 🔥🔥🔥
Many of you know me as a customer support leader in Silicon Valley. Others know me for my advocacy in California for social consumption events legislation. However, very few knew me as a child growing up in downtown Stockton, where I personally experienced the impact of the criminal justice system on my family.
This is why I’ve joined the Board of Directors at Friends Outside. For 70 years, the Stockton nonprofit has supported incarcerated individuals, their children, and families. With liaison services in all 31 California State prisons, Friends Outside connects inmates with their families, addressing needs such as transportation, onsite visitor centers, and clothing while fostering personal and workforce development for successful reintegration into society.
We Believe in Second Chances!
With family members who are still incarcerated today, I am deeply committed to the duty and purpose of giving back to the community that raised me. I don’t forget where I come from, and I am fully committed to doing what I can to unite our community and be a part of the bigger solution. I am excited to share my insights and experiences in organizational leadership, social consumption event policy, community education and economic development for the city of Stockton.
I understand the assignment, but it’s not enough!
