Reminiscing on this beautiful day, watching one of my best friends marry her person 🫶🏻✨💍🥰

Being witness to all these sweet moments and getting to tell their story meant the world to me. I remember the tears falling onto my camera during their wedding ceremony vows and feeling the gratitude that cones with getting to witness two become one. It never gets old and it hits a little different when you are documenting a person you’ve had a 20+ year friendship with 🥲🫶🏻🥰

🌸 To all the new moms out there, this is your gentle reminder to love yourself fiercely in this journey of motherhood 💖

Being a new mom is a whirlwind of emotions—it’s challenging, joyful, chaotic, peaceful, and so much more. How can it be everything all at once? 🌪️🥹

Right now, I’m fully immersed in this beautiful season of motherhood with my 9-month-old and my busy 3.5-year-old. Some days stretch endlessly, while others slip away in the blink of an eye. Even with the challenges in each day that stretch me emotionally, spiritually and physically my love for them deepens in ways I never imagined. How is it that motherhood can be physically and emotionally exhausting and endlessly rewarding?

When I photograph mothers, I now see so much more than pretty light and the best angle. I see the peace, strength, the love, and the beautiful chaos that is motherhood. I see hope and a renewed sense of gratitude for life and little moments. And as a photographer I want to get all up in those emotions and feelings and tell that story.

In this season of life I’ve had to learn to release my need to accomplish everything and accept that the day might look different from what I envisioned. Creating systems has been helpful, but life has its own plans, and the practice of surrender and trust have helped me the most.

In the beautiful mess of motherhood, I’ve discovered so much about who I am and who I aspire to be. I hope you find grace in your own journey and cherish each tender moment of this precious chapter in your life. Remember to tell yourself you are enough, you are doing an amazing job, even on the hard days. 💕✨

2024 has been a year full of wonder and change! Little Jett joined our family in April of this year and is just such a sweet, smiley little baby. He received his first passport stamp earlier this year when our whole family went to Mexico for a wedding I photographed in Cancun - and we hope that’s just the beginning of a little life full of adventure for him ✈️ Ty loves riding his bike on the pump track, playing with his pals and loves holding baby Jett. Watching them interact makes my mama heart so happy 🥹

We fit a whirlwind of festive activities into this holiday season. I must say that watching Christmas unfold through Ty’s curious 3-year-old eyes has been such a blessing and a Jett’s joyful demeanor just adds so much happiness to it all!

I hope you all have found the time to savor the magic of the season ✨ Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays ✨

Hi I'm Lacey! Thank you for stopping by. I built my photography business out of a love for photography that started in a high school darkroom photo lab when I was 14 years old, but it has turned into so much more...

It's turned into building important relationships with my clients. Having my camera in hand for their milestone moments and meeting those who they value most in their lives.

My photography is about so much more than the classic, smile and say cheese family photo. I want to help create an intimate loving space for my engagement shoots and bridal clients or a playful fun space for my family sessions, or a safe warm place for my newborn clients. So for me figuring out what makes clients smile, laugh, shed a tear etc. Those are all the wonderful things that I have learned as I have gone deeper into my craft.

I'd love to meet you and those who matter most to you. I hope we get the opportunity to work together so that I can capture the expressions you will remember most about those you love!
