2025 you were too good to me!

This weekend was pure wish fulfillment for young Johnny Edge Photography all those years ago when I first started out.
It goes all the way back to when I was barely 18 years old and walking in to my first EDC. A few months later when I finally had a chance to get a real camera and dive blindly in to the world of event photography. Naturally one of the first events I applied to shoot was EDC. And naturally I got rejected. That tends to happen when you have a basic entry level camera, next to no experience or skill, and no publication backing.
For some reason I never made an effort again until this year when I decided to finally make this happen for myself. One message later and I found myself planning a last minute trip to the desert.
Sometimes all it takes to make your dreams come true is believing you're actually capable of doing the damn thing and putting yourself out there a bit.
Going back and seeing the other side was a magical experience, especially getting the chance to see and work with so many old and new friends. (Including another familiar face from Powersurge, the same event I first worked with Marie at back in 2013, the brilliant musical tesla coils of - funny how everything comes full circle. To I forgive you for the time you ran me over with your car since your event technically made this happen!)
