Happy Pride, q***rs! To celebrate, we're giving away 2 tickets to see a double feature of trans(gressive) cinema as part of Frameline Film Festival!

On June 20th, join Media Meltdown for two screenings from some of our favorite filmmakers working today, Henry Hanson and Louise Weard! Both screenings are back to back at the New Parkway Theater and we have a pair of tickets to giveaway for each! To enter, just make sure you're following both and and tag a friend in the comments!

A Tale of Two Dogs: He/they underground filmmaker Henry Hanson presents Dog Movie and Puppygirl, a pair of bite-size features exposing two of the greatest scourges facing trans people today: housing drama and puppygirls. Good girls and bad dogs only.

Castration Movie: Chapter III. Junior Ghosts - Premorphic Drift: In this standalone preview of the latest installment of Louise Weard's Audience Award-winning Castration Movie series, Izzy (CAMP filmmaker Avalon Fast) does everything in her power to stop her newly-out partner from transitioning.

Media Meltdown is performing at and hosting one of the stages of Total Accord Fest in just one week! We're super excited to share a stage with AroMa!

AroMa is a creative genius and prolific performer driven by a profound desire to be a catalyst of self expression with music exploring the extremity of human emotion. Being a part of this lineage of the performance inspired by the likes of Nina Simone, Grace Jones, Screamin J Hawkins and many more, they seek to honor the torch they carried, stoking the flames of an emboldened humanness and liberation.

For AroMa, being from Oakland California means being familiar with originality and eclecticness. It also means being familiar with feelings of loss, grief and the blessing of a strong community - caught in the tension between scarcity and innovation.

AroMa’s music transcends category, inviting listeners into a unique soundscape: blending alternative rock, new wave, soul, funk and hip-hop. The themes of their work range from the never overstated experience of love and heartbreak, struggles with depression, death and grief, q***rness and a desire to feel connected.

AroMa has an expansive creative practice, using multiple artistic mediums to express their voice, however, they’ve found true specialization and a unique voice in music, live performance and collaboration with bandmates: Nuxia, Xae, Bella Hangnail and Mikhai. Their practice culminates on stage with a visceral, energetic and melodramatic performance that matches their music style. In this way each performance becomes a platform for resisting apathy and the erosion of our courage.

Since the release of AroMa’s debut EP project ‘Symphony No Harmony’ (SNH) in 2022, their music has graced many stages. Now, they prepare for the upcoming release of new “action packed” work they consider to be long overdue.

Don't miss out next Sunday June 7th at the 4 Star! Ticket link in bio.

Media Meltdown is so excited to host A TOTAL ACCORD NIGHT AT THE THEATER (as part of Total Accord Fest 2026) next Sunday at the 4 Star!

This stacked lineup will be headlined by local superstars The Seshen!

The Seshen is a San Francisco Bay Area-based six-piece band led by singer/lyricist Lalin St. Juste and bassist/producer Akiyoshi Ehara. Their forward-thinking sound combines synthesizers, drum machines, and live percussion to create an unmistakable fusion of R&B, synth-pop, and electronic music. St. Juste and Ehara are joined by four remarkable bandmates to create their multidimensional music: drummer Chris Thalmann, keyboard/synth player Mahesh Rao, percussionist Mirza Kopelman, and sampler Kumar Butler. They take inspiration from across the musical spectrum; their individual influences range from recognizable artists (Erykah Badu, Jai Paul, James Blake, Radiohead, and Broadcast) to genres and eras that don’t initially appear to fit together (hip hop, indie rock, early electronica, and 70’s dub). Their unique alchemy of seemingly disparate sounds has led fans and critics alike to describe the band as defying categorization.

Don't miss out next Sunday June 7th at the 4 Star! Ticket link in bio.
