Back at it!

This past month has been a busy one for me,
and I couldn’t be happier doing what I love.

As a seasoned professional, with 17+ years of experience under my belt, my skills go beyond just planning for weddings and events.

One of current projects include spatial planning and design for a corporate client and their office space. The goal…to create a welcoming environment for their employees who are returning back to office after working remotely for the last two years due to Covid.

I miss events SO much! There I said it.

I have been quiet and completely mia from this feed largely because of the affects Covid has had on my creative business. It’s been a hard pill to swallow and I just haven’t felt like sharing all that much. Viewing images from past weddings and events I have designed gets me in my feelings and reminds me of a time before Covid when we’d embrace one another, laugh, and share in deeply profound celebrations of love and life!

To say that I don’t miss these moments, and in helping others create them would be an understatement. While I have found ways to pivot through a second small business that I launched last November, it isn’t the same. This new venture has been a great distraction amidst a time of so much uncertainty and it has allowed me to pour my creative juices into something new and inspiring, but it doesn’t replace the desire that I have to plan and design events.

For now, I have chosen to smile, to stay hopeful, and to share the beautiful moments that I have helped create over the past 15+ years of my career as an Event Planner.

This too shall pass...

During this unpredictable time, it’s beneficial to network with other creatives to highlight and promote each other’s services. Talent exist everywhere in our industry and I’m consistently amazed by how my fellow peers are surviving, adjusting, and pivoting during this pandemic.

I’ll be sharing additional images in the coming days of this great space, which is available to host styled shoots, small workshops, creative classes and intimate gatherings.

Can’t wait to be back in one of our favorite Mexico destinations creating wedding goodness!!!

Over the next few days we’ll be sharing images from an intimate 35 person destination wedding we produced in the Riviera Maya last November for one of our lovely couples. Our bride was actually a bridesmaid in a wedding we planned nearly 10 years ago in Carmel, CA. I love that after all these years, our past couples still think of us and refer us to their friends.

Let’s start this intimate celebration with a photo that highlights their union in one of the most unique and modern wedding gazebos the Riviera Maya has to offer. I just love how aesthetically pleasing this structure is and not to mention it has a perfect ocean view backdrop welcoming you to paradise!

Intimate celebrations are in high demand due to the impact Covid-19 has had on the event industry. At MB Creative Co. we don’t see this as a trend, but more of a personal way to celebrate your momentous occasion.

We have loved producing elopements and intimate weddings with 15 guests in attendance just as much as those that celebrated with 600 guests. A celebration of love is just that and in the end, you have the choice to choose how and who you share this special day with.
