We love an obscure wedding tradition! In German tradition, the couple works together to saw through a log using a two-person saw. It's meant to represent the very first challenge of marriage—one that can only be overcome through patience, communication, and teamwork.
I love traditions like this because they're more than just a photo opportunity. They remind us that marriage isn't about avoiding obstacles; it's about facing them side by side. Learning each other's rhythm. Laughing when things get stuck. Adjusting, encouraging, and finding a way through together. May every challenge be met with the same determination (and hopefully a little less sawdust).
