'Eiming was the first person to put art, drinking, and music together in a public business in San Francisco." -- Michelle Delaney / 111 Minna Gallery

Founded by Eiming Jung, 111 Minna Gallery opened its doors at 111 Minna Street in the SoMa aka Yerba Buena District of San Francisco in 1993. This location would later become the heart of an up and coming art district, which was later solidified wit

h the construction of the SF MOMA, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and progressive galleries in the surrounding area. With a business model focused on service and hospitality, patrons began to relish the visual aesthetics sourced from Bay Area artists, in conjunction with the laid-back atmosphere that has long been associated with 111 Minna. While acting as host for a vast variety of art, specifically focused on underground, low brow, edgy and often controversial, 111 Minna quickly became, for many artists, the San Francisco gallery to exhibit their work, gaining a reputation for launching artists’ careers, both nationally and internationally. Since 1993, 111 Minna Gallery has maintained its reputation for constant progression and positive energy, and in so doing, has become a cornerstone of San Francisco culture. We're proud to be San Francisco's melting pot of creativity, art, music, and good times.

'The Year of the Dragon'
Curated by
Opening: Saturday, July 13th
5pm till LATE

We've got on STELLER exhibition coming up this Saturday with and opening night party that will be one to remember!!!!!

For those of you that attended last year's opening of 'Year Of The Tiger' curated by you know exactly what to expect!!!!

A taloned, iridescent beast, great and fire-breathing: the dragon has been an enduring fascination of humans for thousands of years. Depicted in countless cultures and faiths from every corner of the globe, from ancient times through the centuries, they are ubiquitous in the legends and folklore that shape our histories and the stories we tell. We fear and revere this creature: it is both a destroyer and a protector, unknowable and unpredictable. An omen of good fortune and strength, the dragon also symbolizes water and is said to control the sea, the rain, and rivers. A master of the elements, it brings both fire and water, defying the laws of nature. We have been putting their mystifying shape on paper for as long as we’ve dreamt of them.

Remembered by this year’s Chinese zodiac, we celebrate this thunderous beauty in a collaborative exhibit crafted by tattooers from the Bay Area and around the world.

📢 Cancer Update: We Need Your Support!❤️‍🩹

"Seven months into my cancer journey, I’m here to share a really personal, significant milestone:  I’ve completed eleven rounds of chemotherapy, pictured here, having taken place on the Big Island of Hawaii as well as at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. This is a massive moment in my battle against Stage 3 cancer since I started treatment late last year.

It’s been probably the most challenging journey I’ve ever experienced, but I remain hopeful and determined at every step.  I intend to beat the diagnosis and get back to doing what I love best, giving our oceans a creative voice. However, before I can fully jump back into my work, I have one more major task scheduled for late July when I will undergo surgery.

This surgery comes with significant expenses, including medical bills, post-operative care, and other associated costs that are adding up quickly. As I prepare for this next chapter in my journey, I would love your support."
-

💙 Here’s how you can help:

1️⃣ Donate: Every dollar goes directly toward my treatments and care. Swipe for Venmo and PayPal QR Codes below.

2️⃣ Purchase my photography: My environmental fine-art photography is now available as limited edition prints and I’ve recently added a new selection of photographs. Bring nature into your home and support my journey at abovebelowphoto.com

3️⃣ Share: Spread the word to your friends and family. The more people who know, the greater potential for support.

4️⃣ Positive vibes: Keep me in your thoughts. Your well-wishes are a huge source of strength.

5️⃣ Health advocacy: Stay on top of your health screenings and encourage others to do the same. Being proactive is key.

An ocean-sized thank you to every one of you. Your support means so much to me.🌊

'Eiming was the first person to put art, drinking, and music together in a public business in San Francisco." -- Michelle Delaney / 111 Minna Gallery

Founded by Eiming Jung, 111 Minna Gallery opened its doors at 111 Minna Street in the Yerba Buena District of San Francisco in 1993. With the construction of the SF Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), Museum of the African Diaspora, (MoAD), Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and many other galleries and arts organizations, this location would go on to become the heart of San Francisco’s art district.
