Some tips when choosing the best flowers:

Select local blooms. Locally grown flowers tend to last longer because they get faster to the flower shops vs. imported flowers which can take up to two weeks.

Avoid fully open blooms or flowers that show excessive pollen.

Look out for slimy stems, wilting petals, or brown leaves.

Most flowers, Imported and local equally, have increased in prices from 22% to 35% wholesale. Shortage in floral products in addition to wedding season has put the floral industry in for a bumpy ride.

Our floral work is created from a passionate connection to our often frail and challenged environment. When doing our floral designs, we select only seasonal & local blooms, refusing to use imported flowers and non-biodegradable plastic floral foam.

By using California grown flowers and adopting sustainable practices, we reduce the carbon footprint, support our local growers, strengthen the local economy, and keep our environment healthy.
