Facts about me that may or may not be fun, based off of your vibe!
🌺 I am a self taught florist and opened Ampersand when I was 24 years old. It has been my life’s honor to flower so many special events and occasions for so many people over these years. To build a business from scratch means the learning curve never ends.
🦀 I’m a Cancer Sun + Moon, Sagittarius rising. The reputation is that Cancers cry a lot, which is true. I have a tendency to cry at a drop of a hat while watching a movie trailer, hearing a good song for the 1st or 500th time, and or when I am thinking about my cats fondly.
💍 I’m getting married this year to the love of my life! And we’re not sure if we’re going to have any flowers at our celebration or not. Shoutout to Brian for being such an amazing and supportive partner, and he assists on many of my events. Not to mention the BTS shots, thanks boo!
🌲 I grew up in a small, rural mountain resort town in Southern California. I’m also a lifelong, born and raised vegetarian and have never had meat, thanks to hippie parents. Oh and my first and middle names were inspired by writers.
💼 I have held positions in the following fields: barista, postal office delivery boy, college resident assistant, business office accountant, and a Zara cashier lol.
🌈 I have a Bachelors Degree in English Literature. In another life, I would have loved to be a theatre critic. Or a dancer.
📺 I’m a lover of tv series (currently into Overcompensating and the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader show). Interestingly, I have an aversion to finishing tv series. The finality of it all holds me back and I just resist. Again, a true Cancer.
🪻Lastly but certainly not least, I have a killer team of shopkeepers and designers that slay the retail HQ daily operations. I’m so thankful for the team and their hard efforts day in and day out.
Anyway, thanks for following along and for the support of Ampersand!
Lots of love,
Emerson
