Possible means of perambulation may include:

The PresidiGo, a free shuttle that picks up outside the Hyatt on Embarcadero (steps from Embarcadero BART) and drops off at the Presidio Visitor's Center
The 24 bus will get you within approximately a mile of the meeting point
There is some auto parking around the location, though carpooling is encouraged if that feels safe.

Once at the location, guides will be provided for those who wish a broader bathing experience. Or check out the EPS Discord this week for a digital version.

Attendees please note: there will be hills and possibly stairs, though most will be up to personal discretion.

This event is a self-guided walk at your own pace. The window for stamps will be open for about an hour, but there’s plenty of ways to enjoy the beauty of the park before and afterward.

Restrooms are close to the Presidio Visitor's Center.

We suggest bringing some water, a snack, your passport if applicable, and all of your senses.

Today, all of us at the EPS mourn the passing of Amber Huey (Spooniepoo). Pictured, the ETOAS artifact she recovered and submitted back in 2010. The deep meaning within it has yet to be fully understood.

Amber was an early member of the Elsewhere Philatelic Society; it was her sort of relentlessly creative spirit and enthusiasm that drove us to keep creating and collaborating. She will be greatly missed.

I'm sure you've all guessed by now that we will not be conducting the
passport expiration event on June 20th, 2020. Star Teleweb is hoping to
sponsor a different, entirely virtual event instead, to be announced at
a later date.

Your passport expiration date will be extended to 2021, if not longer.
Who knows what the future may hold?

Beep beep!

Meet the "mailster," manned in this photo by a cheery city letter carrier in 1955. Carriers used these 3-wheeled motor vehicles to transport the ever-increasing amounts of mail that were being delivered to American households and businesses after WWII.

The mailster worked best in temperate climates and on even terrain. In other areas, they sometimes did not work at all. Carriers in colder climates could be immobilized in as little as 3 inches of snow, and they also complained of the vehicles’ inability to heat properly. The tricycle-like design left mailsters susceptible to tipping over if cornering at speeds over 25 miles per hour or if caught in a wind gust. One carrier complained that his mailster was tipped over by a large dog...

Disinfected mail or fumigated mail is mail that has had some form of disinfection or fumigation applied to it by postal authorities, with the intention of preventing the spread of epidemics via letters sent from infected areas.
