premiere small meeting and event spaces. The Top floor boasts the Gate Room with the largest oldest dining and meeting table in the USA at 337 years old, it seats 32 guests and the room seats 50. The main room attached to the Gate Room is a versatile space with a wide array of options for every type of meeting, training, wedding, dinner, reception or offsite. The second floor has three beautifully appointed private meeting suites available for hourly rentals for 2-30 guests or to combine with our third floor main events rooms. The ground floor has been transformed and restored to an 1850’s Mercantile with all original fixtures from around the world. We’ve just added a beautiful wall of Photography, a Flat Screen Monitor and Projection Screen to our Buddy Classroom Suite here at The Suite can hold up to 30 people for a meeting, class, luncheon or drop in lounge! Good morning!
I have been in direct communication with dozens of you asking if I have the dates for the restart of our global events. I appreciate all the calls, interest and concerns for my situation!
I have been awaiting my surgery date, which is now scheduled for June 18th in San Francisco. Since it is major Foot Surgery, expect to see me the first time at my new improved 7 year old height, as I will be in a wheelchair and non-weight bearing as I heal!
All of our San Francisco events will be held as usual on Monday nights from 6:30-9:30pm. We will provide Coffee and Water but post pandemic, many of our Caterers are unable to donate. We will happily speak to any food vendors looking to promote! The events will be at 1069 Howard Street, San Francisco CA 94103 at TheBoxSF.com
Tickets will remain at $20 online and in advance and $30 at the door.
New addition, We did a very successful Artist and Makers Fair here for the holidays. So, I am also going to offer 6 tables at each event for anyone looking to promote their art, company, products etc., during the first and last hour of each event. Those tables will be $50 and anything you sell is of course yours to keep. It's a great way to promote your art or products. (We will provide one Table, 2 Chairs and a Black Linen).

Last week during the here in we converted our Gallery Suite into a drop in lounge for our Client who preferred to have a private event location for Meetings, Lunches and Charging Stations away from the chaos of the main show floor at . The Holidays are nearly over, but I am shocked at how busy first 1/4 of 2024 is shaping up to be! Deep into Winter but the warmth of @theboxsfevents and @theboxsfmercantile shines through! 🙏🏼❄️☃️❄️🙏🏼

I reflect today on World AIDS Day and remember every single Friend I have lost to AIDS/HIV over the years! This has been a life long battle for so many in the Creative Community in particular in which I have worked in for decades. In 1988 when I moved to San Francisco it was less than a year that I watched my coworker and James enter the Hospital and suffer in ways you could not imagine. The fear, paranoia and misinformation was rampant. It seems that everyday I heard of another colleague, friend, or acquaintance who was suffering. I remember going to visit James in the Hospital and people saying you better be careful, why would you expose yourself to that? And more! And I wanted him to know he was loved, I knew he did not have much time left. And we lost him days later. James loved everything Chocolate. So, knowing he was going to die, he planned a Chocolate Party at his apartment after his death for all of his friends, with mountains of Chocolate Truffles and Bowls made of Chocolate from Joseph Schmidt Chocolates, (his favorite place)! The walls were covered with pictures of James throughout his life. It was a beautiful last act of love from James to us all. I could go on all night with more stories of friends I’ve lost. I miss you all! 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼 #rememberthem #worldaidsday
