Last September, our world flipped upside down.
Danny career unexpectedly came to an end. A great job we thought would carry our family for the next 20 years. Almost a decade as a PG&E lineman— security, benefits, stability, the “safe” plan we built our lives around — suddenly gone.
And honestly? The timing couldn’t have looked worse.
Kids were graduating out of our childcare program. Visionary Events & Designs had almost no bookings lined up for the slower seasons. Then came unexpected business expenses, a box truck incident that drained savings, and wave after wave of uncertainty.
For the first time in a long time, we sat there asking ourselves:
“What now?”
But somewhere in the middle of the fear, God reminded us that sometimes comfort can keep you from your calling.
So instead of giving up, we bet on ourselves.
We leaned into the businesses we built from the ground up. The same businesses people once called “side hustles.” The same dreams we stayed up late building after long work days. The same vision we carried when nobody else could see it yet.
And then… doors started opening.
Friends trusted us with opportunities that changed everything — from Super Bowl work, to conferences, to corporate renovations, to projects that pushed us into rooms we once prayed to be in.
One opportunity turned into another.
Then another.
Then another.
And suddenly, the thing we were terrified of losing became the very reason we found purpose.
This season has required sacrifice. Long nights. Risk. Faith. Growth. But if you know us, you know one thing about Danny and Janelle:
We don’t quit.
We’ll outwork yesterday’s version of ourselves every single time.
Everything we’re building is bigger than us now. It’s for our children watching us chase purpose fearlessly. It’s for our families. It’s for our community. It’s for every person sitting on a dream wondering if they should finally go all in.
Because the truth is…
sometimes the worst thing that happens to you becomes the best thing that ever happened for you.
We’re still building.
Still learning.
Still growing.
But this next chapter?
We’re giving it everything we have.
And we hope you’ll be part of the journey.
