Avocado & Company is looking for a talented Pastry Cook to join our small but growing family. We are an easy-going group that are dedicated to our craft and love what we do! Basic qualifications include at least 2 years of experience in a production setting, high attention to detail, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Open availability a must. Culinary education with a concentration in baking education preferred but not required. Must speak English.
We are looking for a self-motivated, highly talented individual who will be primarily responsible for our wholesale account as well as helping with the catering business as needed . These responsibilities will include:
-Working hand in hand with both our owner and the sous chef to maintain pars of both departments.
-Produce products consistent with our quality standards. Products to include, but not limited to, croissants, breakfast pastries, doughs, cookies, etc.
-Early morning bake and delivery of items (items must be delivered by 6:30am, 4 deliveries per week)
-Assist with catering orders
-Cake making/decorating experience preferred but not required
-Must have servesafe certification or equivalent, reliable transportation, be able to legally work in the US, speak English (or can get by with my very limited Spanish).
Compensation based on experience + mileage, starts at $17 per hour.
