Driving home after a long work day, I heard a news minute on the Associated Press talking about the 75th annual Emmy awards that will air on Monday. They were talking about there will be tributes to old shows including I Love Lucy… which were the costumes that I finished tonight just before making the drive home. 📺🖤

Guess who is going to the Emmys this Saturday?!?! MavenCraft Studios builds the superhero costumes for Nickelodeon’s “Danger Force” and this super-fun show has garnered its first Emmy nomination for its Specialty Costumes! Congratulations to the amazing and talented Costume Designer, Ms Kristin Dangl, and to her entire crew of exceptional talent in the wardrobe, hair and makeup departments. What an exciting recognition!!! 🤞🏆🤩

I learned today that Judy Corbett, co-founder and driving force behind J&M Costumers, Inc., has just passed away. An amazingly talented costumer, Judy’s decades long career contributed to every aspect of entertainment costume across the entire globe. Judy always did things her way and made no apologies for that. I admired her talent. I admired her strength. I admired her drive. I admired her vast knowledge, ingenuity and the occasional glimpses of impishness underneath her badass-boss-lady demeanor. She was a woman who started her own business in 1977 and built it into a great and praise-worthy Custom Made Costume House. I, myself, worked there for a number of years and am grateful for having done so. My hat’s off to one of the truest Mavens I’ve ever had the privilege of working with - Ms Judith Corbett. Our sincerest condolences to Leo and the entire J&M Family for the loss of her. RIP, Judy.
