Hello Friends & Family! We are nearing the Susan G. Komen's breast cancer walk-a-thon. Although I have made my minimum goal of $750, there's still time to make a donation to this great cause. Here is an update on my sister-in-law's progress since her diagnosis:
It’s Breast Cancer Awareness month, and many of us have our own personal connection tied to a pink ribbon. My Sister-in-law, Rowena, is ours.

Here’s Rowena's story:
12/3/20
Diagnosed with left breast cancer with left axillary nodal involvement.
1/19/21
Port placed
1/27/21
1st chemo treatment
5/5/21
Last and 8th chemo treatment🎉
5/26/21
MRI results showed no Cancer 🎊 💪🏼
6/28/21
Bilateral mastectomy, total nodal dissection left axilla, placement bilateral tissue expanders & removal of port
🛌 🏥
7/19/21
Removal of 4th and last chest drain
7/21/21
Started PT to manage lymphedema and ROM
7/23/21
Started tissue expansion
At present, appt next week for mapping/measurements in preparation for radiation therapy!

HOPE, all the love, and the countless thoughts & prayers have certainly pulled me (and my family) through. I am forever grateful 💝
Today is the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and much love goes out to all my Warriors in PINK 💖
My journey still continues and my medical treatment will hopefully finish by the end of the year!
To celebrate, “The End,” my husband, son, and several other family members will participate in The Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk, in November
