Olive green. Peach. Burnt orange. Colors that somehow feel even more fitting now that fall has officially arrived 🍂

There's something about looking back on a day like this with the quiet moments, the ones caught between the big ones, the moments that happened privately between Janine & Jay, the smiles, and the joy.

The florist needs to know where to go. The DJ needs the speech order. Grandma can't make it down the stairs. The weather just changed on you an hour before the ceremony.

None of these are emergencies when someone's already thought them through.

This is the part nobody sees in the photos...the hundred small decisions and redirects happening behind-the-scenes so you never have to make them.

A few truths, from years of planning weddings:

▫️No one remembers your favors, but they'll remember if guests waited an hour for dinner.

▫️Pinterest isn't a budget. Inspiration photos often represent tens of thousands in florals and rentals.

▫️Stop asking 10 people for their opinion. It's your wedding, not a committee meeting.

▫️A day-of coordinator can't fix 12 months of poor planning in one day.

▫️If you don't build in extra time, your photographer, not your planner ends up rushing everything.

▫️DIY almost always costs more than couples think, in money, stress, or time.

▫️Your wedding party is there to celebrate with you, not work your event.

▫️The best weddings aren't the most expensive. They're the ones where the couple is present enough to enjoy them.

When you work, you don't eat. You don't use the restroom. You're a machine. 🤖💜

Then you remember everyone else on your team needs to eat and use the restroom too 😅

This is what Saturday looked like for us...talking through details with the bride, tying the last bow, unwrapping the silverware, walking the room one final time before the doors open.

This is just a small part of our side of it. Behind every one of these moments were vendors doing the exact same thing...working hard and getting it right before anyone walks in.

An empty room, bare tables waiting ✨

Within a few hours, it's a completely different world.

While Janine & Jay were doing their first look, taking bridal party photos, saying "I do", this room was quietly becoming something else entirely.

Flowers of ivory, peach, and orchid, mixed with soft lavender and mauve tones, woven throughout greenery, with pops of deep purple, light blue, and a faint blush of pink. Glowing candlelight flickering across amber glassware and rust-toned linens grounding it all in warmth. Honestly, we couldn't get enough of this palette.

This is just one piece of what we're doing all day while the couple is living every moment, we're behind the scenes making sure the next one is ready for them.

So many moving parts, so many vendors, so many hands, all working toward the full experience.

The reveal is always one of our favorite parts of the day.

Janine & Jay...this space was made for you. But so was every detail before it, and every small decision that led to this day 💜 thank you for trusting us with every step of it.
