I met Ray Bradbury the day before this was shot at World Con in Atlanta in 1986. I was part of the video crew chronicling the event, and I am so glad I said yes to the offer to join that team - meeting Ray changed my life. His words I knew already, but it was here that I began to know him as a man, a human, and eventually a friend. His encouragement led me to pursue writing as an avocation, which led to it becoming my vocation.
His words, like his characters and his spirit, will live forever.
This is a wonderful impromptu conversation with himself, which is the sort of thing he'd break into occasionally without warning.
It was always amazing to sit back and watch it unfurl.
And I'm always grateful for the opportunity to share his wisdom.

We'll be talking about the book, monster art, and showing a bunch of amazing art on the big screen at the panel, then signing Classic Monsters Modern Art (Insight Editions, 2026) (or anything you want to bring that we've done) afterwards for an hour in the Sails Pavilion.

I'm also signing a bunch of the books that will be for sale at the Insight Editions booth ( #2129) in the vendor room as well.
