Such a dream getting to be part of the launch of Aussie brand Petal & Pup’s Modern Romance collection at SWIRL BOUTIQUE yesterday. I came to do the flowers and, naturally, ended up wearing the collection too.

This two-piece set is from Modern Romance and is available now at all four SWIRL BOUTIQUE locations. The whole collection is romantic, a little flirty, and very much my speed but I gotta tell you guys, the unanimous review from basically everyone there was: why is everything also so comfortable?? Especially for a brand that specializes in wedding guest attire!

And perhaps most importantly: excellent pocket representation.

The ocean is one of those rare muses that never tells the same story twice.

Last month I explored one interpretation of its elegance. Yesterday, for Brittany Rocco (Etherton) | La Jolla Realtor’s baby shower, I found myself drawn to its playfulness instead: the contrasting tones of tropical fish, the sculptural texture of sea urchins, and the iridescent glow of sunlight refracting beneath the surface.

A new tide brings a different story, and I truly had so much fun bringing it to life for my longtime client and collaborator ENNA 🧿 SCHELL at the beautiful nighthawkcrowncity inside The Baby Grand.

Hugely grateful for the opportunity to decorate and attend the grand opening of the stunninggg alexancamelliasd for Modern Luxury San Diego last night

Of course flowers are my first language, but we also had so much fun bringing out our custom magazine photobooth and collectively running through every bottle of Bebemos Tequila in the place. I’d say that’s a successful evening for me!

Sea foam. Bleached coral. Negative space.

This ceremony was an exploration of movement, contrast, rhythm, and texture built from sculptural fabric to echo the ocean while allowing the florals to emerge organically from it.

I wanted this installation to feel like the tide had just pulled back, leaving behind fragments of the sea in soft whites and natural forms.
