Tim’s Story

Tim Otto is from Los Angeles California growing up in Pasadena. He moved to San Diego and earned a graphics and photography degree at San Diego State University. He worked in photography labs and also a variety of commercial and portrait studios. His interest was always in photographing people and capturing their individual spirit.This interest soon evolved into wedding photography.

Tim has photographed hundreds of weddings throughout the United States and countries around the world including Dominican Republic, Italy and Mexico. His work has been featured in InStyle, Inside Weddings, Town and Country, The Knot, Wedding Wire, Exquisite Weddings, Ceremony, San Diego Style, Grace Ormonde Weddings, Art and Celebration Southern California, Southern California Weddings. People-I do! The Great Celebrity Weddings.

Tim wants to give his clients, dynamic and beautiful photographs that they will treasure for a lifetime and create an amazing and fun experience by having couples feel comfortable in front of the camera without interfering with the flow of the day.

He blends a variety of styles when he photographs weddings:Everything from a photo-journalistic editorial approach to a contemporary fashion edge with a classic romantic and traditional style. He is comfortable photographing grand elegant celebrations at large venues and small intimate weddings on the beach. He can give direction to make sure everyone looks great and is in the best light but also observe and make sure he is in the right place to capture the spontaneous moments.
