Planning a maternity shoot? YAY! This is such a special time, and I want you to feel absolutely gorgeous, glowing, and relaxed. Here are my top tips to help you prep like a pro and enjoy every single second. 💕

🌟 When’s the Best Time to Schedule?
The golden window is between 28 and 34 weeks.
Your bump is beautifully round, you’re still comfortable enough to move around, and your energy hasn’t completely dipped yet (hopefully 😉). It’s the perfect time to celebrate your journey into motherhood!

🌸 How to Prepare for Your Maternity Photoshoot 🌸

1. Choose Outfits That Make You Feel Beautiful
Flowy gowns, fitted dresses, and soft, romantic fabrics look amazing on camera.
Think neutrals, pastels, earth tones, or soft prints — they photograph like a dream during golden hour. ✨
Want options? Bring 1-2 looks so you can switch it up!

2. Go Pro with Hair & Makeup (If You’d Like!)
A little extra glam can make you feel like a goddess. Glowy skin, soft curls, and lashes pop beautifully in photos.
Or keep it natural! What matters most is that you feel confident and radiant

3. Hydrate + Rest = Glow Up
Drink lots of water and get a good night’s sleep before your shoot. Your skin (and mood!) will thank you. 💧💤

4. Bring the Bump Goodies
Comfy walking shoes (for getting to the location)
Touch-up powder or lip gloss
A bottle of water
Any props you’d like — tiny baby shoes, ultrasound photos, a name sign, or a favorite stuffed animal 🧸

Still swooning over this dreamy maternity session we had at Adam V. Baquera Park in Roseville, CA 💛 The golden hour did NOT disappoint — it wrapped our beautiful mama-to-be in the most magical light, like nature was celebrating her too! ☀️🌿

The outfits were straight out of a Pinterest board 😍 Flowy dresses, soft pastels, and just the perfect amount of glam. Every detail felt like it belonged in a fairytale, and don’t even get me started on the sweet couple — total naturals in front of the camera, full of love, laughter, and the kind of spark that makes my job SO fun 💕

✨I’ve had the privilege of photographing this family’s journey, starting with their oldest child and now capturing all of them together as they grow. It’s amazing to see how their love and connection deepen with every passing year.

What I’ve learned through moments like these is that the best “poses” aren’t poses at all — they’re the laughter, the playing, and the fun of just being together. That’s where the magic happens.

🍁🍁🍁Rose,Michael, and baby Echo are back in front of my camera, and every time I work with them, it feels like reuniting with family. I’ve been capturing their story since Rose and Mike’s engagement, and now seeing them as parents is just so special.

This session had a warm, cozy vibe, perfectly reflected in their outfits! Rose’s navy top and plaid skirt paired beautifully with Mike’s flannel shirt, and little Echo’s adorable overalls tied it all together with a rustic charm. The earthy tones and pops of navy blue blended perfectly with the natural backdrop of the park.

And let’s not forget Loki, their sweet and loyal (and deaf!) pup, who always adds a little extra magic to their photos. 🐾 He’s proof that family comes in all shapes and forms.

We are Sacramento wedding photographer and Videographer known for our natural lighting & golden hour inspired images. Though we love shooting engagements & weddings, our career started off with portraits, lifestyles, pregnancy announcement, maternity & newborns.

The biggest inspiration was definitely our children. We love going on adventures in nature, hiking & just spending time with one and other. Constantly capturing & creating priceless memories.
