Captivating and sensual, the crystal clear voice of Veronique Forget is bewitching, carrying a colourful and dynamic song from her native Mauritius Island and her French culture. Véronique’s repertoire has been influenced by jazz, bossanova, soul, RnB and a love for the passion of French songs where she excels in her interpretation of Edith Piaf. She sings in ten different languages, including Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Swahili and is fluent in English and French and knowledge of Italian.
Her thoughts about Fête de la Musique:
"From the perspective of an artist, music is about sharing and feeling the connection between artists and with the audience. A music festival gives that great opportunity. Sharing and connecting helps an artist to evolve and find new inspirations. Connecting with an audience and feeling their appreciation is the best reward and makes the artist feel he's worthy."
