With a self-taught understanding of music uniquely his own, Nathan Gorey is no stranger to bending genres to create his own sonic language. His DJ sets and productions search for the intersection between subtley and restraint—an understated sensibility that celebrates deep bass lines, instrospection, and hypnotic grooves perfectly suited for both open air parties and late night at the club. As one

of San Diego’s next up-and-coming talents, Nathan has made a name for himself as a go-to opener for FNGRS CRSSD, playing both the main stage at DayMVSXL as well as CRSSD Fest afterparties. He is also a member of San Diego’s Techniche, a local collective and record label that hosts a monthly residency at Spin Nightclub.

Nathan Gorey is a Southern California-based DJ and producer originally from Maryland. After moving cross-country to pursue a life on the west coast, Nathan quickly planted his feet in the San Diego music scene, where he has continued to make a name for himself through his perceptive DJ sets and original productions.

Perfectly honed for the jungles of Tulum, or perhaps a party in the desert at sundown, Nathan’s DJ sets deliver a blend of eclectic rhythm and minimal, thought-provoking bass lines and melodies. As a resident DJ for Deep Tech San Diego, Nathan has been able to share the bill with a collection of international artists including Alan Nieves, Harvard Bass, and Alice Clark.

Nathan has also seen early success with his productions—his productions have been featured on the world-renowned Anjunadeep Edition mix series, as well as his track “Ceremony” (Chub Rub) collecting over 600,000 streams after being added to several Spotify curated playlists.

This summer, Nathan is slated to release new productions on Brooklyn’s Andhera Records and Montreal’s BLK Leaf Records, all while remaining busy finishing up new projects in his San Diego studio.
