The biggest zinnias ever!

Tried my hand at indigo dyeing today. Harvested the indigo plants at a local farm. Then, put the leaves in an ice bath to slow the oxidation process, then tossed that into a blender and blitzed it all up to make it into a dye bath. It looked like a green juice. 😋 I pre-stitched a silk scarf with a simple running stitch to add some subtle detail to my scarf. I submerged it and massaged it in my little dye bath for as long as my patience would allow and voila! It dried a few shades lighter than that last pic, but still gorgeous! 🩵

Last Thursday, our Finn graduated from High School! It was an epic week of celebration with family from all over the country joining us for the festivities. We could not be more proud of this amazing young man, his determination, and his accomplishments! Congratulations Finn! The world is your bivalve! We love you mucho mucho! 😘
