A truly timeless design never goes out of style.

We’re not about following trends. We’re about authentically crafting unique heirloom pieces, which stand the test of time.

There’s something magical about Hawaii.

This Four Seasons Oahu celebration was a the epitome of relaxed luxury - soft neutral tones, lush tropical textures.

Refined. Elegant. Timeless.

I fundamentally disagree with the ‘New Year New Me’ mantra. I’m about small intentional daily (ish) actions which compound over time - started at any point in the year, which help me live a more creative and fulfilled life with the people I love.

One of the things I swear by is my morning walk. Living a stones throw from the Cotswolds in a historic village I love getting out (and often muddy) wandering round the village of thatched cottages and fields.

It may be a new year but the heart of SR remains the same. Slow Fashion. Timeless Design. Bridal Veil Couture.

August means one thing - the busiest month of weddings!

I will always be living for the summer weddings when the photos look like this!

It also reminds me of my own wedding. We have three beautiful brides getting married on our anniversary this year, and it always makes my heart sing when I see the 20th August pop up on an enquiry!

I love florals

I hate cutting corners

I’m most inspired by honing traditional techniques, whilst continuously innovating ideas

My favourite part of the job is hearing a bride's initial veil ideas and creating something epic that perfectly reflects her vision

During my time as a costume maker for Disney and the Royal Opera House, I learnt the art of authentic craft through meticulous practice

I get my best work done when I’m in focused creative mode with my assistants in the studio. The joy of a family run business is the blend of skills and being such a tight-knit team. Prash, my husband and business partner, owns everything outside the creative process, freeing me up to focus on the work I love - designing, handcrafting veils, and working with our lovely brides

I believe that when you're buying - buy quality, buy once and pass it on. Find your own style rather than chasing trends. Trends come and go – style lasts a lifetime.

"Effortlessly stylish with luxury undertones"

The first part of the journey for any bespoke wedding veil is to deeply understand the vision.

It’s all well and good having a knockout veil, but ultimately if it doesn’t align with the feel of the wedding, if it overpowers the dress (or bride!), or most importantly doesn’t make her feel her absolute best, then we’ve failed.

When Olivia showed me her stunning Berta dress and venue, I knew we needed understated drama. Her intricately textured bodice meant combining multiple laces to give her the perfect balance. Each individually cut and deconstructed, the floral edge teamed with the dramatic length gave Olivia the impact whilst still keeping it timeless and light for the incredible setting.

People often wonder how I became a wedding veil designer.

It’s so niche that it’s not really the type of career you think about!

There was always something magical to me about weddings. The day things stand still to celebrate that two people met, fell in love, and decided to commit their lives together. It’s not just a day, it’s a moment that will live in their memory and that they’ll revisit forever.

I started my career at the Royal Opera House as a Costume and Footwear Apprentice, before making my way into the world of millinery at Disney.

Looking back now, there are so many parallels between live performance as an art form and a wedding day.

There’s a lot of preparation. There’s a focus on detail. It’s about capturing that moment, creating something unforgettable, and for that evening suspending life and disbelief and letting your imagination be captured.

From making costumes to creating wedding veils - it’s always been about empowering women in their most fulfilling moments.

Love,

Sophie
