I met Sarah 25 years ago this week and 25 years later our first born graduates college 🤯

We can’t be more proud and excited for our first born kiddo earning a Bachelor of Fine Art In The Studio from one of the most prestigious art schools in the world.
We knew Cy had a knack for art since early in childhood so we encouraged this path and development. Cy ran with it, putting almost every moment possible throughout a lifetime refining the craft. Cy can illustrate anything, literally anything and in any style. Cy has an uncanny eye for visual art virtually unmatched by anyone I’ve ever seen and I’m not just saying that because I’m Cy’s dad. It’s simply a fact.

It’s such an exciting time and to accomplish this living in a cool AF city like Chicago makes it extra special.

Alright now it’s Felix’s turn 😂

Gratitude to Christine for coming over last week to make this lei for Cyril’s college graduation happening tomorrow in Chicago. The colors are from the flag of the Philippines.

As my partner, Christine helped me raise Cyril for 6 years and through some difficult times, specifically when Cy was in high school during Covid years. As many of you know that period was an immense challenge for everyone especially children. I can’t imagine being a kid isolated for almost two years going to school online and not socializing during some of the most formative years growing up. Christine was there for my family so it’s only fitting she’s part of this special moment. 🙏❤️

I’ve seen some posts recently about promoting events and what role those involved in events have (or don’t) when it comes to promoting.

Here’s my take as someone who started in this business as an event promoter in 1995. Today, I continue to promote my own events, the music I make, events I’m booked at, Dance Klassique (one of the longest running ‘uninterrupted’ weekly events in the world at 27 years), my music label and also my peers events (that I’m not even booked at) from time to time.
