Five years later, I don’t remember the things that didn’t go to plan as much as I thought I would.

I remember who showed up.
I remember how it felt.
I remember the way we made something meaningful out of what we had.

The night before, we were all in the kitchen together—prepping food, laughing, sharing that space before everything began.
It wasn’t polished. It wasn’t what we originally imagined.
And it’s still one of my favorite memories.

My family still talks about our wedding.
Not because it was perfect—but because it felt like us.

There will always be reasons to wait.

For better timing.
For everything to align.
For it to look the way you pictured.
But the truth is—life rarely gives you perfect.

What it gives you is a moment.

And you get to decide what you make of it.
If I could give any advice, it’s this:
have the wedding.

Not for the aesthetic.
Not for the expectation.
But for the experience of choosing each other—
