I can't believe we've been open almost a year, 4/15 to be exact was our final health department inspection and certified stamp to begin operating as a commercial kitchen. Thousands of meals and hundreds of events later, it's been a fantastic year of growth and we are looking forward to this next year of growing our kitchen collective with our local chef community. It's been exciting to see other chefs and their companies use our space as the backdrop to their content filming and the collaborative inspired chef minds coming together. Next up, our chef pop up series. We're working on some alcohol licensing for wine paired chef dinners to rent the space for their chefs series✨

“Barcelona Nights”
We love a good theme and the fact that our clients give us 100% creative flexibility and let our imaginations run wild! The clients theme of their weekend retreat was a Sexy Getaway.

After a recent trip this past summer to Spain, we were able to embrace all the country had to offer and design this event after those experiences.

Bright and colorful palates shined, from tray passed tapas, a charcuterie carving station with Jamon Iberico and Spanish cheeses, a seafood and meat buffet station with red and green chimichurris, red pepper sauces, grilled veggies and papas bravas, bunelos and postres for a sweet treat.

A Flamenco dancer and Spanish guitarist entertainers guests while they sipped on Spanish Sangria, Vinos, a Mezcal and Cigar Station, not a detail was missed! 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼

Brought Greece to Huntington Harbor for a night to celebrate a special girl turning 18 years old!

I haven’t yet had a chance to share about Kyle’s memorial this past Sunday because I couldn’t put into words my experience and feelings.

I still don’t have the right words to say, but are there ever the “right” words in death?

I spent a little over a week pulling together the celebration of life to share Kyle’s legacy with those that loved her most, her family, her friends, her teachers, her coaches, her classmates, her oncologists.

I spent an entire week conversating with a grieving mother about how to create an event of 350 people that grew by day for her child, her beautiful baby girl, her daughter who was only a senior in high school.

A day that her daughter put so much of her own touch on prior to her passing, from creating her own playlist to be played, the food to be served, the color pink she wanted everyone to wear and spread throughout, an eco friendly event with a QR code vs. printed programs.

She started her own foundation that she wanted to help people in the community with social issues that meant the most to her, from the LGBT community to woman’s rights, music, medicine, education, ect.

After all she had the IQ of a genius, she beat the odds at birth born at 26 weeks, weighing less than 2 lbs., doctors not sure if her brain would ever develop to full potential.

She was a miracle from the beginning, her parents unicorn! ✨

I planned this sweet girls wedding 7 months ago in 48 hours and her celebration of life in a week.

In between I helped create many celebratory events created in the comfort of her home with her family, from a ho**ah night, movie nights, a spa day and a farewell sleepover with her best friends where I had to say my final goodbye.

Let me tell you, this was all so deep and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced in my lifetime and I’ve experienced death after death of those closest to me.

But what I took away from these last 7 months that I got to know Kyle and her loving family was the purest love of family, the unwavering love of parents, the unconditional love that a child has for their parents.
