I love creating beautiful things! It gives me so much pleasure to carefully maneuver stems, making them to lay just right.
But, my goal is not to become the best in my industry. The ‘best’ is relative and unmeasurable. I don’t do this work to become famous or popular.
I am here however, to be the best that "I" can be. To be the best business woman, best teacher, best designer, best gardener that "I" am capable of being.

I am not in this world of business men and women to win anything. It is not a competition to me. I only want to walk a life of self confidence and self sufficiency. I am here to empower any and every person I can, to be the best version of themselves.

These are a few principles we will be going over in my Facebook group, Blooming into Beautiful.

When I took a poll on Instagram I discovered that 94% of my friends struggle with confidence in their skills and abilities.
This absolutely crushed me. When I see people, I see all that they are capable of.
But confidence doesn't come from someone telling you what they see in you. Confidence comes from a deep place within yourself.
I know that with steady empowerment and guidance you can step into having genuine self confidence.

The Blooming Process

Velours Floral Design is Owned by Katie Welin and is based in San Clemente, CA. Katie loves beautiful thing, is artistic and has a designers eye for detail. Her hobbies include, painting, drawing, crafts, interior design, outdoor adventures and gardening.

At age 13 Katie and her entrepreneurial spirit came up with her first business name, “Katie’s Concoctions. She even designed her own logo. The focus of this business was not flowers but just anything and everything creative. Everything was later to be rebranded because this first name and logo were obviously created by a 13 year old. That year she also began traveling down and helping her aunt arrange flowers for her floral business in San Jose and discovered she had an eye for it.

At 18 she designed her very first wedding in Redding, CA for a friend, still not even knowing that this was an option for a career. Later at age 20, Katie worked and trained under her cousin’s business in San Jose, Asiel Designs. There she learned worlds more about technique and floral design processes. After a year working there, Katie broke her leg and moved home to Redding. A few months of laying on her back with no other occupation than to think about what to do with her life, Katie decided to start her floral design company and also study business at Simpson University. She got her business license and applied for school. While studying she began building her portfolio with one to two weddings a year. After graduating in 2014 Katie was ready to give it everything.

Since graduating Katie’s business, has grown exponentially. Velours Designs has developed into luxury wedding and event floral design. They specialize creative floral installations, gorgeous bridal bouquets, elegant floral crowns, stunning centerpieces, and trendy men's boutonnieres.
