Jewels Hanson’s Honky-Tonk Energy at AutoVino Wine Garden
FRIDAY, AUGUST 14 | 4:30–7 PM

Fremont-based country-rock singer-songwriter Jewels Hanson will perform outdoors this Friday at the AutoVino Wine Garden. The Happy Hour menu includes Woodside Vineyards wine, Neapolitan-style pizza, oak-fired wings, and charcuterie.

NASHVILLE CREDENTIALS AND SADDLE RACK ROOTS

Jewels Hanson blends country-rock with the honky-tonk stage experience she gained during nearly ten years as the frontwoman of Diablo Road, the house band at Fremont’s former Saddle Rack.

PIZZA, WINGS, AND CHARCUTERIE

Inside AutoVino’s restored 1955 Flxible diner bus, French-trained Chef Nick acts as the pizzaiolo, making Neapolitan-style pizzas with 48-hour fermented dough and baking them at 900 degrees. He also serves oak-fired chicken wings.

Inge’s charcuterie boards include salami, prosciutto, brie, and cheddar paired with olives, nuts, crackers, artisan bread, and sweet jellies.

San Mateo Cars & Coffee at AutoVino: Where the Peninsula Car Community Meets

SUNDAY, AUGUST 9, 2026 | 11:00 AM TO 2:00 PM

This Sunday, San Mateo Cars & Coffee returns to AutoVino for an afternoon focused on the cars, their owners, and the conversations that happen when the Peninsula car community gathers.

Walk through the rows, photograph your favorites, meet local owners, and enjoy a variety of classics, exotics, modern performance cars, and specialty vehicles. Some guests arrive with a car to share, while others come just to see what shows up.

That mix is part of what makes the event interesting.

The AutoVino showroom and car museum will also remain open all afternoon.

COME FOR THE CARS. STAY FOR THE CONVERSATION.

A familiar car can begin a story. An unusual one can stop a crowd. And sometimes the best part of the afternoon is meeting someone you wouldn't have talked to otherwise.

Friends catch up. Owners compare notes. Families walk the rows together. Newcomers get a closer look at cars they may have only seen online.

Honey and Daisy, AutoVino’s resident Labradors, will also be there, along with many four-legged visitors.

LUNCH IN THE WINE GARDEN

The AutoVino Wine Garden will be open for lunch with wood-fired pizza from the restored 1955 Flxible diner bus, charcuterie by Inge, and wines from Woodside Vineyards.

Bring your car or come see what rolls in. Bring your camera, family, and dog, and spend Sunday with the Peninsula car community.

The Milk Chasers Brought Rock, Surf, and Americana to Friday Night Happy Hour

A nostalgic evening filled with live music, Woodside Vineyards wine, wood-fired cuisine, and great friends at the AutoVino Wine Garden.

THE MILK CHASERS BENEATH THE SHADE SAILS

The Milk Chasers performed under the shade sails, with guests gathered closely around the Wine Garden tables. Al Hudelson played guitar and sang, Phil Sollar handled drums and sang, and Leslie Freed played bass and sang.

The Bay Area trio explored rock and roll, surf, R&B, folk, and Americana from the 1950s to the 1970s.

WHEN THE CROWD GOT UP TO DANCE

Guests quickly left their tables and began dancing near the band. Friends raised their glasses, posed for photographs, shared plates, and continued their conversations between songs.

The close setting kept the musicians, dancers, and tables united in the same Wine Garden scene.

DOGS, WINE, AND INGE

Dogs joined their owners throughout the evening, settling beside chairs and beneath tables. Two guests posed with their pugs, and Inge stopped to hold one of the dogs while visiting with people around the Wine Garden.

At the wine table, bottles from Woodside Vineyards stood beside rows of glasses as Inge talked with guests.

PIZZA FROM THE DINER BUS AND WINGS FOR THE TABLE

Woodside Vineyards wine was served alongside shareable charcuterie boards. Wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas were prepared in the restored 1955 Flxible diner bus, featuring blistered crusts and generous toppings.

Wood-fired wings were served with three sauces, adding another shared plate to tables already filled with wine glasses, pizza, and charcuterie.

A DOG UNDER THE TABLE, THE BAND STILL PLAYING

A dog lay stretched out beneath a table while The Milk Chasers played nearby, and conversations flowed around the Wine Garden.

Join us for our upcoming Friday Night Happy Hour at the AutoVino Wine Garden. Admission is free and open to everyone.

META’S OLYMPICS FOR THE MIND AND BODY

What happens when coworkers swap their usual roles for chopsticks, oversized dice, wooden puzzles, buckets, blankets, and shared skis?

A team from Meta held a company offsite at AutoVino, called an Olympics for the mind and body. Each event tested their ability to work together, communicate clearly, and coordinate under pressure. For one day, coworkers became competitors, problem-solvers, and teammates.

THE GAMES BEGIN

The competition started in AutoVino’s Grand Showroom, which was surrounded by collector cars and event tables. After the facilitator split the participants into teams, explained the scoring system, and outlined the rotation, one rule set the tone for the entire day: every challenge required full team participation.

The mind round included chopsticks, oversized dice, numbered wooden puzzle pieces, and a colored floor grid. Outside, cups, balls, buckets, a red blanket, and shared wooden skis were prepared for the body round.

FIRST, THE MIND

The initial events rewarded patience, focus, and the skill to clearly express observations.

In the chopstick dice-stacking challenge, each player aimed to build a tall tower using oversized red dice. Their teammates watched closely as the tower grew higher, knowing that a single misplaced die could cause the entire structure to collapse and make their opponent restart.

Then came the geometric wooden puzzle. Teams rotated the numbered pieces, tested different combinations, shared their ideas, and revised the plan out loud. Each failed arrangement offered another clue, and everyone around the table viewed the problem from a slightly different perspective.

The colored floor-grid challenge combined thinking with movement. One participant navigated a grid of colored squares while their teammates observed the sequence and guided the path. In all three events, the challenge remained the same: to turn what one person noticed into actionable steps for the whole team.

THEN, THE BODY

When the competition moved outside, the pace changed dramatically. The teams now faced a ticking clock, other groups competing nearby, and very little time to plan their next move.

In the ball toss and cup catch event, one teammate threw a ball across the table while the other tried to catch it in stacked cups. Each throw required both partners to judge the distance, react quickly, and coordinate their movements.

The partner cup-transfer challenge demanded precise coordination between teammates. Two players used cups to guide a ball toward a bucket, and the angle of each cup was just as crucial as the timing of their handoffs. A single rushed movement could send the ball off course, forcing the team to restart.

Four teammates each held a corner of a large red blanket, with a bucket on top. Together, they adjusted the blanket's tension, height, and angle to guide the bucket toward a target hoop. Every adjustment altered the shared surface, and each correction affected the entire team.

THE FINAL RACE

The giant team skiing race concluded the competition.

Teams gathered on shared wooden skis, lining up side by side. Each step had to be called out, timed, and executed as a coordinated movement. The lead role changed as the teams found their rhythm, lost it, and then worked to regain it.

A single misstep could bring the entire group to a halt.

The race provided an important lesson: a team progresses when all members collaborate.

PIZZA, WINE, AND SHARED STORIES

After the competition, the Meta team gathered at the AutoVino Wine Garden for Neapolitan-style pizza from the 900-degree oak wood-fired oven, along with wines from Woodside Vineyards.

Around the tables, scores were compared, and the day’s best moments were shared. Missed catches, fallen dice towers, puzzle breakthroughs, and team-ski recoveries became the stories everyone wanted to hear again.

The games told those stories, and the Wine Garden gave the team a chance to share them.

ONE TEAM AT THE FINISH

By the end of the day, the group had finished puzzles, moved buckets, raced on shared skis, and shared laughs over their results. AutoVino gave them a space to step outside their usual roles and see each other as teammates.

After the scoring ended, they left with a table full of stories and a day the team could cherish together.

Auto Vino Friday Happy Hour: Live Music with Owens & Sommer
Friday, July 31 | 4:30–7:00 PM

WINE, WOOD-FIRED FOOD, AND LIVE MUSIC

Friday Happy Hour begins as guests find a shaded table, order a glass of wine, and settle in at the AutoVino Wine Garden. Authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas and wood-fired wings cook nearby while Owens & Sommer perform live music.

Owens & Sommer perform live while guests enjoy food and wine with friends. Their mix of familiar songs, harmonies, guitar, and banjo keeps the crowd engaged without overpowering conversation, with plenty of opportunities to sing along or dance.

🎶 BECKY OWENS AND PETE SOMMER

Becky Owens and Pete Sommer are a Bay Area acoustic duo performing country, folk, blues, classic songs, and contemporary favorites.

Their contrasting voices, tight harmonies, and acoustic arrangements keep the set varied without overpowering conversation. Becky brings a background in musical theater and live performance, while Pete moves between guitar and banjo with the instincts of a singer-songwriter and seasoned live-music host.

🍕 AUTHENTIC NEAPOLITAN-STYLE PIZZA AND WOOD-FIRED WINGS

Food is served from AutoVino’s restored 1955 Flxible diner bus.

Nick, a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef, cooks the chicken wings alongside the pizzas, creating a crisp exterior while keeping the meat tender and juicy.

Nate, the pizzaiolo at AutoVino, hand-stretches each Neapolitan-style pizza with dough fermented for 48 hours. This slow fermentation enhances the flavor and provides the crust with the structure necessary to cook in the 900-degree oven.

🍷 WINE AND INGE’S BOARDS

AutoVino pours Woodside Vineyards wines by the glass or bottle, including Kings Mountain Cabernet, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and Pinot Noir, so guests can settle in with a favorite or share a bottle with the table.

Inge’s charcuterie boards are sized for two or for a group, giving everyone something to share between songs. Each board includes salami, prosciutto, selected cheeses, olives, nuts, crackers, and sweet jellies.

🐾 DOGS IN THE WINE GARDEN

Dogs are welcome at Friday Happy Hour, where guests may also meet Honey and Daisy, AutoVino’s resident Labradors.

Free to attend. Walk-ins welcome.
Seating is limited. Come early to get a table.
