San Antonio Merry Christmas!
If anyone knows someone who can help this young lady please let us know.
She is in San Antonio.
She needs a Christmas Miracle.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas.
If you would please post this or send to anyone you know who might be interested in helping Hailey, we would be forever grateful.
When care that keeps someone alive is taken away, what do we call that?
A 22-year-old woman named Hailey has been in the hospital in Texas for months. She is now at risk of dying.
She cannot eat. She is vomiting. Her blood sugar keeps dropping. The IV nutrition and fluids that were keeping her stable have been stopped. There is no safe backup plan.
If nothing changes, Hailey will not survive this.
I do not usually share patient stories publicly. I am doing it now because staying quiet while someone is at risk does not sit right with me. When care stops adapting and no one steps in, people can die.
This is not about pity. This is about responsibility.
There is an urgent need for outside review, not only of what happened earlier in her hospitalization, but of what is happening right now. Hailey is in a prolonged hospital crisis with increasing limits on pain control, hydration, and nutrition, while her symptoms continue to be questioned despite documented medical data.
If you work in healthcare leadership, patient safety, government, media or oversight, please do not scroll past this.
We need review. We need intervention. We need action now.
Hailey is running out of time.
