❤️ They fell in love with the River Walk… so they came back to get married on it. 💍

Congratulations to Marielle Fernando & Erick Dierman, who returned to San Antonio for an intimate Basic Elopement at Marriage Island on the River Walk.
A few years ago, Marielle and Erick traveled to San Antonio together and spent much of their trip exploring the River Walk. It became one of their favorite travel experiences as a couple—and a place filled with memories they never forgot.

So when it came time to decide where they would say “I do,” they chose to return to the place that already held such a special place in their story. ❤️
With no guests and the River Walk surrounding them, Marielle and Erick made their return to San Antonio about just the two of them—creating a brand-new memory in a place already filled with so many.

And really… could there be a more fitting place than Marriage Island? 🥰🌿

❤️ Plot twist: They’ve been happily “married” for 10 years… they just forgot one little detail. 😂💍

Congratulations to Thomas Fitz & Kristi Jackson, whose wedding story might be one of our favorites yet!
Thomas and Kristi have been together for 17 years and celebrated what they believed was their wedding on September 17, 2016. At the time, they lived in Houston but gathered more than 150 family and friends for a beautiful wedding outside Austin.
There was just one problem…
In all the excitement, they never actually signed the marriage license! 😳😂

Ten years of happy “marriage,” two kids and two dogs later, Thomas decided their 10th wedding anniversary was probably the perfect time to finally make this thing official.
But he wasn't just going to tell Kristi.
Thomas planned a surprise ceremony at the Texas State Capitol on their anniversary, tucked into what Kristi thought was simply a stop on the way to happy hour and dinner. 🥂❤️

So exactly 10 years after their original wedding, these two returned to the Austin area—this time with no 150+ guests, no wedding-day scramble, and one VERY important item on the agenda:
SIGN. THE. MARRIAGE. LICENSE. 😂📝
From a huge wedding to an intimate surprise elopement a decade later, Thomas and Kristi proved that sometimes the best wedding stories don't go exactly according to plan.
And after 17 years together, 10 years of “marriage,” two children and two dogs, we'd say these two were already pretty committed. We just helped make the paperwork catch up. ❤️

Every Saturday from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM, we offer $75 Armed Forces Ceremonies at King William Park. 🌳❤️

No stuffy courthouse. No need for a big wedding. Just a beautiful outdoor setting, your marriage license, the people you want beside you, and an experienced professional officiant to make it official.
