💔 AMBER Alert: A Grieving Teen With No Phone and No Meds Was Released From Jail Into the Streets of San Antonio - and Nobody Has Seen Her Since

This is Briana Alexis Guerra, 17 years old, from San Antonio, Texas. She has been missing since the morning of March 2, 2026 and an AMBER Alert has been issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety because authorities believe she is in immediate danger.

Here is what makes this case so heartbreaking. Briana attended a teen event at Community Bible Church on Saturday when she began experiencing a mental health episode. Her mother, Raquel Guerra, said she rushed to pick her up but police ended up arresting Briana on a family violence charge instead. Raquel said she begged officers not to take her daughter, and the jail assured the family that Briana would only be released into the custody of a parent. That promise was not kept.

Briana was released from the Bexar County Jail on the morning of March 2 without her family being notified. She walked out of the facility near the 1100 block of West Commerce Street at around 8 a.m. and was captured on security footage. That was the last time anyone saw her. She left behind her money and her belongings. She does not have a cell phone. By the time her family raised the alarm, she had already been without her required medications for over 72 hours.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office confirmed it is the lead agency on this case since Briana was last seen on their property. Investigators are actively working to find her. The San Antonio Police Department handled the original arrest.

This case is also close to home for San Antonio locals. Briana is the younger sister of Matthew Guerra, who was tragically shot and killed along with his pregnant girlfriend Savanah Soto in December 2023. This family has already been through so much.

Briana is described as a white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt, jean shorts and blue Crocs. She has a marigold flower with Roman numeral tattoo on her left arm. She is a 10th grader at Southwest Preparatory School and also takes classes at Texas A&M San Antonio.

This case is registered with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children under Case No. 2079180 and carries NCIC No. M058842973.

Please contact the Bexar County Sheriff's Office at (210) 335-6000. You can also call the NCMEC 24 hour hotline at 1-800-843-5678.

💔 Briana is a teenager who has already lost her brother in the most devastating way. Her family has been through enough pain. She is out there somewhere without her phone, without her medication and without her family. Please share this post all over San Antonio and beyond. Please come forward and help bring Briana home.
