Our wedding-planning “Toxic Traits”

🤍 We simply cannot do plain. We prefer color, texture, personality, character and thoughtful details that make the celebration feel unmistakably YOU ✨

✨🎂 ✨We adore a statement wedding cake, and the bigger, the better! Cake bakers may hate to see us coming— 🫣but, the cake should be a focal point and design moment, not a table accessory or a quick serve.

🌺🌿 🌺Speaking of BIG, we love a Texas size table install or centerpiece. Drama wins every time!

🥂 🍹And, we will mix up the glassware—and probably suggest another unexpected style, too.

⏳ We refuse to rush a wedding. We will advocate for an extra hour simply so the celebration has room to breathe and you are able to enjoy every precious moment.

🍸🍷No matter the level of expertise, one bartender for every 75 guests is not nearly enough. Give us approximately one for every 45–50 guests. We would much rather be considered overstaffed than have guests waiting in line. Believe us, it’s worth it!

👥 Speaking of staffing, every VOLARE wedding includes Caroline as your lead wedding planner, and not 1 or 2, but ✨3✨Wedding Day Concierges, because we believe exceptional service requires wisdom and exceptional support.

Are these really toxic traits? Probably not.

But we are unapologetically adamant about beautiful design, unhurried celebrations and taking extraordinarily good care of our couples and their guests.

A celebration steeped in tradition, designed with intention. 🤍

Alyna & Matthew’s wedding day began at La Cantera Resort before they made their way downtown to exchange vows during a traditional Catholic Mass at the historic San Fernando Cathedral. Mariachi on Main Plaza followed—a quintessential San Antonio beginning to their marriage.

For their reception at Dominion Country Club, we created a refined, garden-inspired setting layered with lush florals, candlelight, and rich, romantic color. A champagne tower, cigar bar, and thoughtful details throughout made the evening distinctly their own.

This celebration was especially meaningful to us, as it was the second wedding we had the privilege of planning for this wonderful family. Being welcomed back to create another milestone made the day all the more special.

Timeless, personal, and effortlessly elegant. ✨

Introducing The Berrys 🫐🍓

The bride’s Classical Revival family home and the Spanish Colonial Revival architecture of the McNay and Omni La Mansion Del Rio became the canvas of this perfectly eclectic wedding day.

Drawing from the museum’s famed Water Lilies by Monet, its stunning tile work, and extraordinary gardens, we built a layered design anchored by Backstory Backdrops custom artwork and peacock monogram.

The use of richly patterned tablescapes, sculptured floral installations, and immersive projections, approached the celebration as a mixed-media composition, layering color, texture, and movement to build depth and visual intrigue.

Every element was intentionally chosen to complement the surrounding architecture while reflecting the couple’s artistic vision.

The result: a celebration that felt creative, sophisticated, and refreshingly unconventional — a living work of art.
