Sweet August Events is a small business that celebrates love. It would feel a little unnatural if I didn’t celebrate my own union that was formed 22 years ago today. My dearest Chris, the man I chased and made my best friend and got super lucky because he liked me back. No marriage is easy…it takes hard work and courage to fight through the tough spots. Chris and I have worked so hard to remain in love and in tune with one another. Chris has truly watched me grow up and has supported me every step of the way. We have gone from passionate youngsters, to young parents, to steadfast entrepreneurs, to supportive teen parents, to young adult launching (almost empty nesters) parents and most importantly to two people who just aren’t willing to give up on one another. Our life has been built around deep, deep love and it shows in Katalina and Seve, and I am really proud of that. I am proud of me and Chris for just doing our best, especially when it was hard. I am proud of what we built and how our own marriage has been the foundation to so many things in our life, like Sweet August Events. To my sweet children…we celebrate this day with you too…we love you and how you completed our marriage in the most beautiful way. I love you Chris Lopez, always and forever.

My kids have been the reason behind Sweet August for the last 15 years. To all the mommas out there…this job is not easy and I hope today you can relish in so much love, peace and relaxation!!! ♥️💙🌸

It has been a ride I will never forget. I’ve always been a go getter and ambitious. When an opportunity arises, I never say no. I have decided to leave Skyline and hand over the reigns to my partner. I am in FULL support of The Skyline and have no doubt that Skyline’s next chapter will be wildly successful. To our team of people, you are so special and I am forever grateful for your hard work and willingness to start something ground up. To my “once” partner…I wish you mountains of success and Thank You for the opportunity. To all my Skyline clients…wow, thank you for believing in this opportunity…it’s been a dream.

Now where does that leave me…well back here at Sweet August Events…living my first dream. I am so thankful to the SAE team for riding this one out and I know we are ready for our next chapter as well.

Happy International Women’s Day!!! Not your typical wedding photo but a reminder to all the women out there that we are amazing!!!!
