I’ll never forget this day.
I was sitting in class, classroom TV’s on, everyone was quiet.. then we see the second plane hit the second tower… the shock on our faces. The silence and immediate crying.. I remember the anxiety I felt after, little me was so scared that we were going to get attacked. I remember thinking of everyone’s lives who were lost and just crying my eyes out. I remember praying to god to protect us and to hold those loved ones who lost someone that day extra tight and to give them so much strength. To everyone who played a part that day, who stepped in and did everything they could possibly do, thank you, we will never forget.

💛 SEPTEMBER IS CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 💛

This one is incredibly close to my heart.

I’m honored to partner with a very special mama here in San Antonio to support Stuffies for Silas — a mission born from a mother’s experience walking the devastating road of childhood cancer with her sweet son, Silas. 💛

What makes this even more personal is that this mama was once my preceptor. She taught me more than I could ever put into words about being an ICU critical care nurse. Somewhere along the way, my preceptor became one of my greatest friends, and I am so incredibly honored to now stand beside her and support something so deeply meaningful to her family.

During Silas’s journey, the kindness of strangers brought their family comfort through soft blankets and stuffed animals. Those seemingly small gifts became moments of softness during some of their hardest days.

After losing Silas, she chose to turn that love and grief into a mission to give that same comfort to other children and families facing childhood cancer.

And now, we’re asking our Boards by Ronnie family to help us wrap these little warriors in softness.

💗 Monetary donations via Venmo
