Each year, the Salt Lake Chamber celebrates the businesses and individuals driving Utah’s economic success—and we’re beyond excited to share that this year, Pierpont Place has been selected for the Icon Award by the : an honor recognizing a woman-owned business making a lasting impact in Utah. 🏆

This recognition means the world to us. It celebrates the bold vision of our founder & GM, Janice Boes, who launched in 2001 and opened Pierpont Place in 2006 as Salt Lake’s first all-inclusive, urban-chic event venue.

Janice was the first in the region to introduce a raw, industrial-style “blank canvas” venue with full-service event capabilities—from custom design to immersive themed experiences. Almost 20 years later, Pierpont still stands out as one of Utah’s most dynamic, one-of-a-kind event spaces.

We were honored to once again host the Sundance Film Festival SLC Celebration during this year’s festivities — and what a night it was! From creative catering and custom cocktails to ambient lighting and woodland-inspired decor, the atmosphere was nothing short of magical. 🌿🍸🎶

Between Pierpont Place and our sister company , our team has been planning and hosting Sundance opening galas, premier parties, and celebrations since 2006 — and we’re always thrilled to help bring the festival’s energy and creativity to life in downtown Salt Lake City.

Last night, Pierpont Place was honored to host The Fence Group for their 2025 Mixer. They brought great people, great conversations, and an elevated mountain urban chic vibe to our venue, which was transformed with warm candlelit accents, rustic birch details, and subtle mountain-inspired touches—perfect for an evening of mingling and connection.

We were thrilled to welcome DAI Utah and Candlelight Homes into our little winter wonderland last weekend to officially kick off the holiday party season! 🎄✨
