I’m very, VERY excited and grateful to be putting together an in-person wreath bar at Salt & Honey’s beautiful 9th & 9th location (and hopefully starting an annual tradition?)! I’ll be offering handmade wreaths in two different styles: a fragrant, fresh greenery option vs a lush, dried pampas grass option. Take home and enjoy the wreath as is or have me add-on some festive ribbon and adornments. I look forward to creating something for your home to welcome in the winter season 🌲

The Lexi Collection.

I thought I’d start naming (and perhaps one day renting out?) the small collections of vases and vessels I’ve gathered over the years and I’ve usually gathered them for someone’s wedding or event. This group of colored glass I collected for my little sister’s wedding (Lexi) and her now husband, Chase. Now, anytime I find colored glass vases to add to this collection I instantly think of her and her beautiful wedding day in Oregon. I’m missing all the trees and fresh air today 🌲

Designing Mother's Day arrangements is something I look forward to every year. I love creating these arrangements based on the Language of Flowers—keeping the symbolism of each bloom in mind. It has become a really special experience for me each year and I want to keep the tradition going! As I have been preparing for this year’s arrangements, I thought to base them off of a poem (or something of the sorts); a written tribute to mothers, mother figures and impactful women. However, I need some help! I would love this poem to come from someone who is much better with words than I am. So, I am opening up the floor to all of you!

If you would like to write a composition in celebration and admiration of mothers, mother figures and other impactful women in your life…send them my way! You can dm your submission or send them to [email protected]

And even though I know I will love every single written piece, I will choose only one that will be featured on each Mother’s Day arrangement that goes out this year. In addition, the chosen person will also get a free small Mother’s Day arrangement delivered to their door!

A wine inspired bouquet filled with chocolate queen anne’s lace, lavender wax flower, various varieties of red roses, burgundy scabiosa, burgundy astrantia and dark purple ranunculus.

All the greens were foraged from my parent’s backyard!

The flowers were from , my favorite online wholesaler. Whenever I can’t buy from local growers or wholesalers (for whatever reason: time of year, location, etc.) I use Flower Moxie. This is no ad, just a genuine gratitude rant. And here is one story, from this particular wedding, that paints a good picture of the kind of company they are…

After emailing Flower Moxie with a few issues I had over some wilted flower bunches, someone personally called me. The woman on the other end of the line not only agreed to immediately send over extra flower bunches at no extra cost, but she sat on the phone with me for a good while. She asked about the event, how I was feeling and how things were coming along. It was a personal touch that meant a lot. This is on top of having a wide selection of beautiful, good quality product to shop from (and that can be sorted by color which I always appreciate). Plus, they have all these informative and simple “how-to” videos for florists who need a quick refresh OR DIY brides/grooms.
