Family, Friends, Fans: I have help close to my heart some exciting news. I am pleased to announce that on next Wednesday I will lead a seminar for the Protocol & Diplomacy International - Protocol Officers International (http://www.protocolinternational.org). I will lead a seminar to help attendees improve their penmanship. This comes in handy as inevitably, last-minute additions and changes become necessary. My purpose is to provide the attendees with a fundamental understanding and practice of penmanship. It will cover the basics of handwriting: holding your writing instrument, the basics of writing; movements and pressure, and practice drills to improve your penmanship. I will end with tips and takeaway and a short discussion on pens and paper.

It is quite an honor to be asked to lead such a seminar. If you are unaware of what a protocol officer here is a good definition - The principal duty of a protocol officer is to foster understanding and cooperation between individuals, corporations, organizations and foreign bodies (http://work.chron.com/duties-protocol-officers-21132.html).

"Swag Bags" (ziplock - fancy stuff) and Name Tags for my calligraphy students tonight. In 3 hours I will begin teaching calligraphy to hopefully eager and exciting students. I am just as excited and eager to teach it. Let's do this! "I'm so excited! And I just can't hide it! I'm about to lose control and I think I like it!"

It has been quite some time since my last post. What better way to return to posting than a "random letter to a perfect stranger". This is to a fellow scribe half-way around the world, who loves hand-written letters just as much as I do. In the words of Katherine Mansfield: "This is not a love letter. This is me wrapping my arms around you for a moment."
