Salt Lake Scandinavian Music & Dance Dancing for fun! Scandinavian Folk Dancing for all generations Temporarily closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. We look forward to dancing together again soon.

We are an enthusiastic group of social dancers who welcome new comers. If you have a little extra coordination and energy, come and join us for an evening of fun folk dancing. We dance a mix of couples and set Gammaldans, which are village dances for everyone to participate in together to beautiful music. Many dances are mixers where everyone exchanges partners multiple times during each dance. No

rdic dances from Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden are danced. No prior dance experience is necessary in order for you to enjoy yourself. Some instruction is provided

Coming the following weekend:

Saturday, May 16, join us for Syttende Mai at Peace Gardens Park and celebrate Norwegian Constitution Day, 10-2pm.

Sunday, May 17 our Scandi Dancers and Troll Sisters are on the South Stage at 3:45–4:30 pm at the Living Traditions Festival at Washington Square (City Library and City County Building).

Living Traditions goes from Friday at 5pm through Sunday at 7pm. If you have never attended this is the best heritage festival of the year, with three stages of performers, ethnic food booths and special events.
