Caden and Jacey had the prettiest wedding day at Wild Horse Creek Ranch in Mackay, Idaho.

The views, the blue bridesmaid dresses, Jacey’s gorgeous details, Grandma making last-minute adjustments and CONFETTI CANNONS during their first kiss, seriously, this day had so many good moments.

And I have to say it again . .. I LOVE photographing weddings in Mackay. It is one of those places that somehow makes every backdrop look amazing.

School pictures shouldn't be a mystery.

No guessing what smile they gave. No wondering if their hair still looked like it did when you dropped them off. No crossing your fingers and hoping picture day somehow worked out.

My goal is simple: genuine smiles, relaxed kids and school photos that actually look like them.

Open to Pre-K to juniors, any student, any school and there are still some open!

They are easy and quick, different poses and enough time to get past the "school picture smile" and into the real one.

Some weddings are romantic. Some weddings are beautiful.
And some weddings turn into one hell of a PARTY.

Colton and Stephanie’s day at Sweet Water Hollow had all of it, the most incredible colorful flowers grown and created by Colton’s mom, amazing food, lifelong friendships, a gorgeous bride, one very handsome groom and a dance floor that stayed FULL once the sun went down.

One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is getting to watch people celebrate the people they’ve loved through so many different seasons of life. And this group knew how to celebrate.

Tyler and Jenna got married earlier this year and decided Idaho was the perfect place to tell everyone.

These two are from Pennsylvania and make it a point to explore a new western state every year. This time, Idaho was on the list so Jenna packed a wedding dress, Tyler cleaned up pretty dang nice, they brought a little cake and we headed into the mountains around Challis.

We thought we might get rain. Instead, we got WIND.
And somehow it made everything even better.

Dress flying. Mountain views. A tiny wedding cake. Two newlyweds adventuring across the country together.

I love that their wedding photos didn’t have to happen on their actual wedding day. They just chose a place they loved, put the wedding clothes back on and made another memory out of it.

Dinosaurs. Tacos. Rain. A packed dance floor. And a bride walking down the aisle to the Jurassic Park theme song.

Lindsey and Alex’s wedding at Sweet Water Hollow was one of those days that felt completely and perfectly THEM.

They tied a handfasting knot during their ceremony, celebrated with friends and family who traveled to our little corner of Idaho, ate tacos, shared a sweet little cake and absolutely did not let a little rain ruin the party.

And can we talk about the dinosaur seating chart?! Lindsey LOVES dinosaurs, so of course they had to make an appearance throughout the day.

These are the weddings I love most, beautiful, meaningful, a little quirky and full of personality.

PRIME FALL MINI SESSIONS
LIMITED SPOTS.

I saved one of my favorite October dates for a small round of family sessions — October 17 only. Think golden light, changing leaves, cozy fall colors and a session that feels easy instead of like a whole production.

These are especially perfect for smaller families and younger kiddos who don’t need a huge, drawn-out session to get beautiful photos. Just enough time to warm up, play, snuggle, laugh and get the good stuff before everyone is officially over it.

I’m keeping this one intentionally limited, and once the available times are gone, they’re gone.

If fall family photos have been sitting on your “we really need to do that” list, this is probably your sign.

I have the PERFECT little spot in mind for family photos right now. Think tall trees, the prettiest golden light filtering through everything and SO many leaves starting to change.

It’s that perfect in-between where there’s still a little bit of summer hanging on, but fall is starting to show off, greens, golds, warm tones and just enough color to make everything feel cozy without being full-on autumn yet.

And the light there? SO GOOD.
