As promised, a little background on what we were up to while we were MIA on social media. Those of you who we see in real life or who follow our personal accounts are aware, but for those who missed it… we’ve been a traveling family for the last year and a half!

In spring of 2020, weddings, along with everything else came to a screeching halt. We were stuck at home in our little duplex with our 5 year old, 2 year old, and our brand new baby. As weeks turned to months we started to go a little crazy. In July, we got our first real escape from the tedium, camping in the sierras with family. This inspired an idea, which was not the first time I (Colleen) suggested it, but was the first time David was open to it. What if we lived in an RV??

Well, long story short, we bought a 34 foot fifth wheel trailer and the truck to pull it, sold nearly everything we owned, and got on the road. California was our home base, but we did explore 11 other states in 2021. We’ll share a few glimpses into our travels soon. This year, we have a few more states on the agenda, and we do have plans to settle ourselves down again too. More on that later. 😉

Weddings picked back up in full swing last year but we managed to balance the business with our traveling lifestyle. The lifestyle change ultimately changed the way we view everything, really. It was one of the best decisions we ever made. ❤️
