So many beautiful weddings we’ve been doing this month! This one was from last weekend and was an unstructured theme from the bouquets to the deconstructed arbor. The arbor was a first for me and my mom who helped put it all together and was so much fun to do!

I ordered these gorgeous peonies for an event last weekend and let me tell you they are not cheap! When I first ordered these I was told $6 per STEM, but then was informed the next day because of tariffs they are actually going to be $8.99 a stem!! This is my wholesale cost! The standard markup for florists is 3x for fresh product and 2x for hard goods. This is industry standard, not me making it up. The 3x markup is to cover how much ends up in the trash and to cover expensive overhead (we never get a bunch without at least a broken stem or bruised/moldy etc)

That makes these peonies $27 per stem!!

My number one complaint is “that’s all I get for the price” or “expected more for the money”
This is just a little reminder that when it comes to ordering flowers it’s not the size that makes the final price but what goes in it. With these peonies I could make a mason jar $150 easily! 🤪
With the prices I’m seeing lately a $100 arrangement is what I’d call “medium” and unfortunately there’s not much I can do about it. When I first went into business all I wanted was to make beautiful arrangements at a reasonable price. I still want to make that happen but it seems to be getting harder to do.
Flowers are a luxury but that just makes them that much better to send 💕

It’s way too cold for flowers to be on delivery today! Not to mention for my delivery driver to be standing at doors waiting for them to answer so we are taking the few that were scheduled ahead of time and that’s it for the day. Plus a little break after the Valentine chaos is definitely needed 😂

Beautiful roses will be coming in all week for Valentine’s Day! Hearing reports of the weather this week is getting us a little nervous. A forecast of 7-9” of snow on valentines week is every florists worst nightmare! We will see how it plays out and 🤞for roads to be cleared by Friday! ❤️🩷❤️🩷
